Richard Joseph Francis Finnick
Fr. Sheehy
I met this marvelous man at the University of Maine in 1951. It was through him and Fr. LeTourneau that my search for my calling in life began.

Richard Joseph Francis Finnick
Fr. Whitley
My year at the Catonsville, MD Preparatory Seminar (1951-1952), was followed by a 3-year Army tour, 4.5 years at Northeastern, 18 months training with DuPont and then assignment to a sales territory that included Baltimore and vicinity. I went back to the Catonsville preparatory Seminary and found Fr. Whitley still there. The year would have been about 1962 - 1963. His find a grave bio doesn't mention his being there in that time frame, but it's quite possible my memory has been dulled with the passage of time. Can you let me know when Fr. Whitley last served at this facility? He was the only Priest still there from my short time there.

Thank you,

Dick Finnick

Fr. Russ Ryan
It was my privilege to study under Fr. Ryan for a year (Dec 1951-Dec 1952) at the Catonsville, MD facility. He was one of the most compassionate men I have ever met.

Greetings! I am working on a project relating to Sister Mary Paulina Finn, VHM, the noted American Catholic poet and I am wondering what her relation to Father Finn is?

Sister Paulina wrote under the pseudonym, M S Pine.

God bless you for your help.

I asked the Cemetery Supt. for info re the burial of W. McDonald and they gave me " a " burial...when I went to add the photo of the headstone and looked at the Memorial Page it was obvious i did not have the correct Wm. McDonald burial...I will try again...My apologies for apparently jumping the gun...Ed McDonough

John R Robinson
I went to St Peter's today. They have no record of him. They have a John Robinson that died in 1909. Perhaps he is in a different Cemetery or the death date is incorrect. If you find any new information I would be glad to help. If you knew a family member's name I might be able to track him.

RE: Fr. O'Keefe
[And now for my very late response. I left for France the day before you wrote and just arrived home late last night.]

I did check once again regarding Father O'Keefe. I still have the orginial photo. There are a couple of other concerns which makes me think I did not find the O'Keefe you are searching for.

My photo reads "Father"...as in, head of family, I think. And his first name is James not John.

Because I do not have your personal email address, the only thing I can do is attach the photo I have to John's, page...which I just did.

You are right to ask. After I posted the grave photo I took, I discovered that the date off death did not match so I removed it.

I'm not certain if I still have that photo - if I do would you like to see it?

Father Cunningham
Father Ron,
I was glad to be able to assist you. As this particular cemetery does not give out information, when you noted that he may be buried in the priest section, I knew exactly where you were speaking of. I've walked many miles there.
Have a Blessed New Year.
Bobbi

RE: SF
Hi Ron:

I found the Paulist crypt at Holy Cross, but my camera wasn't good enough to take pictures I can post. Next time I'll bring an SLR digital camera. I noticed that Dennis Maher is buried there: I lived in the OSM rectory with him when I was a deacon in 1993 and 1994. I know he left the community shortly afterward. I assume he is in the Paulist crypt out of charity for him, and I'm grateful for that.

I also saw that Bob O'Donnell Sr. died recently. He came to the 59th St. rectory the summer I interned at Paulist Press. He was a good man and a good priest.

Hi Ron:

I'm going to be in SF for a few days this weekend and am hoping for a pilgrimage to Holy Cross in Colma. Do you know what section the Paulists are buried at Holy Cross? Would love to get pictures of their memorials. I was out there as a deacon but don't remember where it is.

Tom
