You're very welcome. I'm thinking that his wife may have decided she didn't want him so far away and changed her mind. We actually have a contributor who does the research on all the photo requests in San Diego - he doesn't want credit for the work - he just wants to share what he finds.

The dates you put are not the ones listed on the memorials. Also please do edits through the normal edit channnel rather than through messaging.

Nuna is in Section N, Lot 250, Grave 6. And they said she does have a headstone.

You're very welcome. I wanted to let you know I was able to take a better photo on a cloudy day. I have deleted the unreadable photo and posted the new one. You will see that he has a middle initial - H.

|dusty_papers||photo request 177263395 Arthur N. Anderson|
Hi Sandra, I saw your photo request for memorial 177263395. I live near the Resurrection Cemetery in Shorewood. The reason I write, is that in the past year, 90% of the photo requests for the Shorewood Resurrection Cemetery (which is very close to my house) actually turn out to be in another cemetery with the same name, Resurrection Cemetery in Mendota Heights. I am thinking this one (177263395 Arthur N. Anderson) is probably actually in Mendota Heights due to the Church location in the obituary. The Mendota Heights location has an online form that can be filled out to find out if the burial is located there, and the plot location. http://www.catholic-cemeteries.org/burial_record_request.aspx
I am happy to go to the Shorewood location if you wouldn't mind verifying burial cemetery location. The Mendota Heights location is too far for me, but there are other volunteers that regularly do that location, (in which case you can just change the cemetery on the memorial and it will automatically update the cemetery location in the photo request.)
Thanks and happy researching! :)

Thank you for the info. Would you like me to transfer any/all Studebaker memorials I have posted over to you? I am not related, I just post to help others find their relatives. Just let me know, it will not be a problem.

You're very welcome. Yes, it's sad that there are no gravestones on their plot, other than the two Bruce family members.

Sorry I missed one of your questions. We do have a map but it is missing information and people. So I have been pulling records together - my information comes from the cemetery registry, funeral records, Gen Web tombstone project, the Parkin collection (1964 transcription) the Washoe County Recorders office records and newspaper obits - Along with family connections.

Thank you so much for writing me. The information on Calvin R is from my research. I am currently working on Hillside - research and cleaning. The cemetery is not well taken care of and I think it should be, so I am doing it with a small group of volunteers. We have not -reclaimed this lot as of yet but we are moving that way. I will repost a better photo when we get the wooden marker finished and in place. There are two Calvin Johnson in the lot. So I wanted to be sure I had the correct one - thus Pyramid Mine. Calvin is buried next to his co-worker George Short.

|Bruce Sonner||Major Peter Studabaker|
Sorry for the error on the date of birth on Major Peter Studabaker. I would like to transfer management to you for him, to your care, if you wish. He is not related, But I am convinced that he was a friend of my GGGrandfather Mahlon Irey Paxson.Mahlon was a man of some wealth in Wells County, and was, at the time, the largest land owner in Wells County. Both Major Studabecker, and my GGGrandfather marched with General Sherman in his march to the sea. My GGGrandfather built a home just 2 blocks away from their bank across from the courthouse in Bluffton. And I was told that he once owned a cane from the Studebaker Bank. I am certain that Mahlon had a account at the bank, He also raised and bread cattle.
Let me know if you would like me to transfer management to your care. I would be happy to do so, I believe that Find A Grave management should belong to family members!

|Titania||RE: James M. Studebaker #147809654|
The name "Monroe" was in the cemetery office paperwork, and the clerk was gracious enough to volunteer that information as she knows of my interest in genealogy. The brass plate on the small niche states only "James M. Studebaker 1858 - 1937." By far the problem with taking a photo of that niche is that it's in an area where the sun never shines, and there is no artificial light. Less than 10% of the niches at Chapel of Memories have been photographed, due to overwhelming problems with visibility. While I will bring a different camera next time, since the flash I used today could not help at all, it could well be that only a professional-grade flash will do for that location.

I took several photos, but the location is extremely dark, and none of the photos turned out... so I deleted them. I will try again in a few days. James Studebaker's niche is above a doorway and is unavoidably backlit by the windows in the adjoining room. There is only natural light throughout the Chapel of Memories, and the Cypress room has no windows at all...it is lit up only by the windows in two adjoining rooms. You may get a better photo from a volunteer with a different camera, with a better flash...

He is not at Chapel of the Chimes. Please change the location to Chapel of Memories, which is across the street. Exact location: Chapel of Memories, Oakland, Alameda county, California. "Cypress, wall BB, tier 1, niche 4"

Hi Sandra, I'm sorry but I don't anything about Calvin. I am not related to him or to your gggrandmother. I do have Johnson heritage, and I am always drawn to Johnson headstones when I see them. Best wishes in finding out more about him.
