Duplicate Memorial for James Franklin Tune

Hello Find A Grave friends! Just wanted to inform you that you have posted a duplicate memorial for James Franklin Tune (record added April l2, 2012 #89056397) I was pleased to find cemetery/plot information with gravestone photo which I did not previously have. I've since linked his spouse with your memorial. James is my 3RD Great Uncle. Are you relation? Always anxious to find new family connections!

Thanks and God Bless

Thank you, very much, for posting the photo of James and Enniettie Babcock Pierce's headstone. It is a beautiful headstone, and verifies their marriage and existence.

You have misspelled his name. Should be Jewel Hubbard CUMBIE as shown on his tombstone. If you'd like to add it, his wife's maiden name was Quinlin.
thanks, Betty Cumbie-Horn

I received your note about John's service in the Civil War as a Union soldier rather than Confederate soldier. Made the change, looked him up on ANCESTRY and included more information in bio section, and found his parents for links...thanks!

Always good to hear from you...have a great year...Charlotte Coble

RE: Judge Ethan Allen Murphy
I have been loaned a book: John Murphy of South Carolina, his Descendants, and related Families by Glynn Ellen Pennington McCoy 1999. It contains information regarding the Judges family and the relationship to the Murphy's buried at the family cemetery at Lewisville, Lafayette County, Ark. If I can help, please let me know.

Louise Calaway
Edith Tice Goodin
Edith's parents are John E. and Pearl Walters, not Franklin. She was my mother's sister. She was married to Roy Tice, first, Paul Franklin, second, then to Henry Goodin when she died in DeKalb, Tx. in 1990. Her children are: Anna Pearl Tice Schmittou, deceased; Charles Tice (living); Louise Tice Garner, (living); Johnny Tice, deceased; and Leon Tice, living. Thank you for correcting this. First of all--Thank you so much for permission to use your photo's for the C.W. site. This has been a challenge, but I enjoy it. I love our "Boy's in Blue"

Also your note on Vermont's beauty really pleased me. I am a 7th generation Vermonter, and love every square inch of its soil. My ancestors arrived here when it was nothing but forest and streams!!

Cheers, & thanks again,

Good Morning; I am a Vermont Civil War buff, and am presently working on a project to identify the last resting places of many "Old Soldiers" that had roots in Vermont. Ira Church and Oscar Scott are two such patriots. May I use the photo's you contributed to their Find A Grave Memorials, to be posted on the Vt. C.W. site"? (

You would receive credit for this.

Thank you for your consideration.

I wish you had left a will, great aunt Amelia, and then your sister, Margaret's descendants could have known you better than the 1850 Chicot county Arkansas census. I will come put flowers on your grave now I know where you rest.

RE: John I Watson
I forgot to mention, according to his son's death record, John's middle name is Issac. He was born in Arkansas. Just the 1920 census has Kentucky, the other census records show the correct state of Arkansas.

Talbot Cemetery, Old Boston
Nice write up an research. Thanks ! John Allen Talbot was born in the vicinity of or in Lynchburg, Va., in about 1852, Amanda Melvina Fitzallen Talbot Featherston B1825 D1857, Old Boston, moved to Bowie Co TX from Lynchburg. I expect they are very likely related. The names James, and Melville lead me to think that John Allen may have been born to Williston Talbot and Hester Carper, but a reference says he is descended from John Talbot. Per census record John Allen's father was born in TN, which makes it more difficult to establish the relation with Amanda Talbot.

I am Alfred M Terry's g-daughter--buried at Concord. I have detailed genealogy of this family. Elizabeth Lenora Patterson Terry #54462639
She married James B. Terry son of Edward Terry, buried at Old Terry Homestead, James was born 5-9-1857 and died 1-26-1916. James and Lenora's children were Joseph, Eva Mae, Minnie Belle, Travis B.--all born in Miller Cty, AR and Columbus, Pete, Lee, Ida Jewel, Elmer, all born in Caddo Parish, LA. I feel for certain the grave next to Elizabeh Lenora Patterson Terry would be James B. Terry.
If you need documentation of this I can e-mail the data to you.

Thanks, Mary Sue Terry-Lanier
