Janice ~ this information came from Fred Dowell son of Jeremiah Milan Dowell, son of David Crockett Dowell, son of Jeremiah Dowell He and his cousins Nadene Dowell Rexford, Opal Truex Handy and Edith Phlieger had shared their knowledge of the family history. They shared what they had with my family, my mom has it(the papers) now, at the time (15 years or more ago) I entered it into my genealogy program. I did not give a source for All the facts like I know you are supposed to.
In our records Laten is Layton Solon Eddins Dowell (quite a name!!)
Thanks for all the work you have done.
Judy Fullmer Dowell (my dad was Robert, son of David P and Edith Dowell)

It would be my pleasure for you to add this photo to your family search postings. The link you gave me requires me to sign in, therefore, I am not able to do it myself.

Thank you and it has been corrected. I had noticed the difference was wanted to make sure before changing what was listed on death certificate.

The secretary of East Akron cem said that Middlebury cem was once a part of East Akron and somehow they got divided. Middlebury is no longer used at all and most of the headstones are broken or unreadable.
I love a good challenge and will see if I can find anything out on his real whereabouts.

I looked in the cemetery index and they were not indexed - I will try to a little research to make sure they are actually buried in East Akron cem. A new group has taken over the cemetery and said if I can prove they are there then they will make every effort to find the headstone even probing the ground if necessary

|Pat Gardner||Christopher Timberman #149723952|
I am working on a genealogy project for a friend whose husband is a Timberman. When I showed her the Find-a-Grave memorials, she was excited, but indicated that the Christopher was the son of Jacob & Catherine Earnhardt, not Jacob Christopher and Zibilla. When I checked the dates and did some calculations, I felt there should be another generation between Christopher and Jacob Christopher. The age for the child-bearing of Christopher would be likely improbable, although not impossible. Other websites also indicate that he is the son of Jacob & Catherine, although I am always suspicious if no sources are given.
I also saw the diary that Sam Maddox had posted which showed you had made a response, so thought you might be related, rather than just adding memorials, which in itself is a great benefit to those of us who are not in the vicinity of the cemeteries. I am trying to work on the diary information to see if it can be determined who might have recorded in it.

Thank you, that is helpful. Maybe that part of "suggest another correction" does not accept that much info at one time? Whatever the reason, it is annoying, because on your end, it looks like it got sent, and on my end, nothing, so it looks like I've either deleted it or ignored it, which wasn't the case. Maybe you could take that question to the Forums and see if anyone else had that happen, and if there is a solution.

Sorry! The only thing was I saw was for his middle name, and another one for dates and places, to just "accept" or "decline". There was nothing received on my end that had any documentation or any narratives or explanations of any type. I checked my deleted emails and it is not there, either. Will you please send it again?
I'm at work right now but I will check back later.

|KsCityKim||RE: Infant Miller # 71364511|
It was found in the cemetery records. The date may actually be the interment date, but with infants that is often the same date or one day later. No further information available in there except plot.
I'm going through some of the older funeral home records that are available too so may be able to update again in the future.
You might try contacting the WyCo museum to see if they can find anything. Their number is 913-573-5002. They're great help out there!

You could never bother me by trying to give me documentation to make my posts better and also correct. I love volunteers like you who really work at this. I have transferred him to you and I think the reason I originally posted him was because I was going through old Newspapers on line and found that article. Maybe I transposed the day date ,am not sure. If you could add his military info and the specifics of when he was killed it would sure look nice. He was a hero and deserves to be remembered. I have all the cemetery books for Morgan County so if you ever need info on a burial I'd be happy to help. Again thanks for your input.

Hi fellow volunteer. I have an edit from you for Everett. Could you please give me a census number death Certificate number etc as documentation so I can add your edit. The DAR no longer is using Find a grave as linage proof because Find a Grave started this new edit system and people are just changing or adding info without proof and the records are no longer as reliable as before. Thanks so much for honoring family by volunteering.

You have a memorial listed in Wakefield Cemetery, Wakefield, Dixon co NE for a Freedom Rice. You list that he is in the cemetery records. I am a cemetery board member, with the records and we have no Freedom Rice in those records. Please advise.
