Can you tell me what those buildings are that you took pictures? They look pretty interesting.

If you can call Holy Cross Cemetery @ (310)836-5500 for the grave location I will get the photo for you! Do not email because they will not reply. I would call for you but since I am probably the only regular active volunteer there I have made many many calls to them for locations and they are very annoyed with me. Please send it to my member page as I go 2 times a week. James

You're welcome. I've done and uploaded most of the lot. Fran is helping me with figuring out who the repeating names are.

Tempie Hill Heath - Thank you for transferring this grave to me. Tempie Heath was my great-aunt. At the time of her death, just prior to my wedding in 1967, I had not seen her since I was a small child, as her husband moved the family to Kentucky, many years before. Our family was fortunate to be in contact, via mail, with her, and her children settled in Texas again, when they were grown. I know that her family will be gratified that her grave, online, is being maintained by family. I so appreciate that you have maintained this site for so long, as she is always remembered and always loved. Thank you for your kindness to all of us who love her. Blessings. Sharon Tucker

RE: request on Coolidge & King
Made a quick trip to the cemetery. Uploading:
3 photos for Charles H. Coolidge #175399737 (1813 - 1847); 2 for sister Harriett Coolidge King #100741295 (1811 -1887).

I sent a couple edits on them as well.

I had already taken care of Marie King Johns & Lenora Davis King

There is a lot of vacant space in the area. I didn't see any other Coolidge or King. Had to dig part of Charles Coolidge's out of the dirt. Hope this helps you

You have this special note:

Mar 3, 1898 Leader
Monday at Nazareth, Sister Mary Lazare, died after an illness of several months of consumption. Sister Lazare was Miss Isabel Byrnes of this city, a sister of Mr. James M. and Mr. Christopher F., and Miss Alicia Byrnes."

Was that an obit in the Lexington Herald leader? Could Isabelle & Mary Ann have been the same person?

I just created a memorial for Sister Mary Lazare Byrnes

Isabelle Byrnes 97704814
I believe this may be the grave of Isabelle Byrnes (maiden name) - sibling of Mary Ann "Sister Mary Lazare" Byrnes. I just learned that Sister Mary Lazare is buried in the cemetery on the grounds of the Sisters of Charity of Nazareth convent near Bardstown, Ky.

William John 'Jady' McNamara
Thank you for removing the 1902 NYC death reference to a man with the same name as Jady. Although similar name and parents, he was not part of the Lexington McNamaras.

McNAMARA - Calvary Cemetery
Sorry for the delay in response ... I had to have stent inserted in main heart artery.
I can't begin to express my gratitude for your extra effort and time spent to gather additional information on this McNAMARA family. I copied some of the newspaper articles about John Henry 'King' McNamara when I was in Lexington in the 1960s, but missed the info you researched. Thank you SO much.
I contacted Fr. Clay at St. Paul's to see if LDS had microfilmed the church records. He told me the records are available only for on-site research.
Matthew and Bridget married at St. Paul's on 9 Feb 1864 (Fayette Co MB 3, p. 198). They had a daughter Bridget born 13 Nov 1864, baptized 23 Nov 1864, but no further info on her. There was also a son Matthew buried 15 Mar 1876, but no further info on him. At the time I was in Lexington, the cemetery office did not have info on the two infants.
If church records for St. Paul's were online, the baptisms may reveal additional information, such as names of godparents, etc.
I am confused on Memorial #175432213 - William John 'Jady' McNamara. Lexington newspaper reports HIS death as 16 Aug 1901.
So who is the William J. McNamara born c1842 IRE, d. 16 Sep 1902 in Brooklyn NY? This man was born 22 years BEFORE Matthew and Bridget married. I don't believe he is part of the Lexington McNAMARAs.

McNAMARA - Calvary Cemetery
I notice you posted info on three children of Matthew 'Red Mack' McNamara and wife Bridget Williams:
Matthew 'Matt'McNamara 1866-1912 #97399419
Thomas Michael McNamara 1867-1910 #97356272
Mary McNamara 1879-1908 #97356228

There is a large McNAMARA monument marker on this family plot. If possible, are you able to post info/photos of the other family members buried in this plot:

Matthew 'Red Mack' McNamara 1822-1887
Bridget Williams McNamara ??-1908

Bridget McNamara - infant d. Nov 1864
Matthew McNamara - infant d. Mar 1876
John William 'Jady' McNamara 1869-1901
Francis Edward 'Ed' McNamara 1870-1914
James Bernard 'Bert' McNamara 1874-1897

I have been researching since the 1960s to determine if my grandfather is part of this McNamara family. If you need additional information, please contact me:

Gloria Beasley Arnold
grave stone Cove Haven
Hi NK,
I am a volunteer also for, and have been working on Coven Haven cemetery. I have a picture of a stone for the following, all on one stone: Rutherford
Pa: Jack
Ma: Lou
then it list the following: Mary Emma, Tom, Tom Jr, Besenta, Sallie, Mattie, Elbert

However, there are no dates so I am searching on Ancestry for info on these individuals to put the stone on I found your addition Mrs Lou Rutherford #96748131. Her death certificate has that she was buried in Greenwood Cemetery, Lex, KY which is now called Cove Haven.

Do you know if this is one in the same, or do you have any further info. I will continue to search for info on this family so I can post this picture. thanks Gloria Beasley Arnold
