Jennifer Bennett Powers
Ephraim Stanfield
Hi!
I'm working on my family tree and just added Ephraim Stanfield as a husband of "my" Czorilda Adeline Pegram (1818-1897). The record says they married 5 Feb 1840 in Richmond, Virginia. Do you have any information on this Ephraim? I don't have anything beyond the marriage. No birth/death or anything.
Do you know anything about him? I'm writing to you as I'm *guessing* # 59289237 might be his father.

I had that problem too but solved it by having the person I transferred it to - transfer it back to me and then I deleted it.

Mary E. Warner
Stanfield and Warner Connection
Tim, my great aunt Isadore married William Stanfield and she moved from Washtenaw Co., MI to El Paso, TX to be with him. This information may interest you. Perhaps you have information (stories, names of children, etc.) which could help me on my search. Isadore 30210149 is buried in El Paso, TX. Her folks, Jefferson 76886443 and Susan 76886655 (Burnett) Warner are from NY and settled in Washtenaw Co., MI, where they lived and died.

There are relatives living in TX through Isadore and William. I would like to get to know them--dead or alive!

Laurel has the memorial for Isadore, so I am relying on her to link Isadore to her parents.

RE: Stanfield Inquiry
Hi Tim - You are welcome for the photos for Ellen, Pettus, and John. TX death index does show El Paso as Walter's death location. There are a number of large cemeteries he could be in. We will eliminate Fort Bliss and the 2 Jewish cemeteries.

Restlawn - Possible. I only have partial records for this cemetery. You currently have the 4 Stanfield's I have. You can try calling, but they have a rep of being very unfriendly

Concordia - Masonic Section is possible if he was a Mason.

Evergreen Alameda - Not likely. If he is, there is no marker. (I already photographed all of them here)

Evergreen East - Highly probable if he lived on the east side of town.

Mt Carmel - Unlikely but probable if he married within the Hispanic community.

There are also 3 cemeteries in Dona Ana Co. NM that are closer to El Paso than the rest of NM that many from El Paso are buried in. Desert View (Chaparral, NM), Memorial Pines (Sunland Park, NM), and Memory Gardens of the Valley (Santa Teresa, NM). Looking at a map of these locations and you can see why folks from El Paso are buried there.

There are a bunch of smaller cemeteries but they are mostly Hispanic Catholic church cemeteries.
You would need to be a member of the church to be buried there.

Too many cemeteries unless you want to call them all, with the exception of Concordia (no place to call). You will need to get an obit if there was one. Contact the El Paso Public Library at the link below. They can see if there was an obit. If no cemetery is mentioned, you can call the funeral home if one is named. If his wife has passed, maybe her obit will give a location.

Good luck! -- Laurel

Floyd Franklin Hatcher
Hi Tim!

Thanks for taking and posting the photos of Floyd Franklin Hatcher's marker. I'm glad to have his dates confirmed, and also that this really is Floyd, and not someone named Lloyd Hatcher lurking in the cemetery where Floyd is supposed to lie.

I very much appreciate the assistance.

Thanks again, and very best regards,

William

Hi Tim,

I hadn't received the "success" for my great grandmother when I had written the thank you for my great grand mother.

Thank you so very much for your wonderful photo of my great grandmother's grave stone. I appreciate it so much. I hope you keep doing this because it is so important to the families out there (like mine) doing genealogy and family research.

My very best wishes to you,

Steven Scott
