|Lorita Willard-Cushman||Mary "Mina" Elmina (Vest) Batty-Jackson|
Hi, It looks to me like we may be cousins. Mary "Mina" Elmina (Vest) Batty-Jackson is my great grandmother. I am guessing you descend from her sister Sarintha Jane (Vest) Hagen. If she is also your great grandmother we would be third cousins. It looks to me like their father John J. Vest moved with Mina and her family to Grants Pass, Josephine, County, Oregon in 1901 where he died shortly after.
Above I am speculating on how you are related. Would you mind telling me exactly how you are related so I can figure out our relationship (if any).
Would you mind transferring my great grandmother Mary Elmina (Vest) Batty-Jackson Find A Grave#83957173 to me Find A Grave# 48225357. I would greatly appreciate it.
I live the next county over from where John J. Vest is buried. I will try to get over to his grave and clean it up some.

I know when and where her mother died, but not the cemetery. Elias and his second wife are together in the Greentown IN Cemetery
Elias and Ellen Niccum had two other daughters that died before their mother and I think Ellen may be buried with them? Still looking.

|Von Rothenberger||Serintha & Rhoda Vest|
My great-great grandmother late in her life wrote down on a piece of paper that she thought that her aunts Serintha Johnson and Rhoda Angeline Drew, along with Serintha's son Frank Johnson, were all buried in the Burge Cemetery. Unmarked graves? But she also listed her grandparents Vest as being buried there and they are not.

The obituary is in column 6.
There is an error in my transcription. The funeral was held on Sunday (not Saturday).
The Vest line is related to my in-laws.

|Terrie McCoy||Grigsby at Central Point Cemetery|
My name is Terrie and my husband, Pat and I welcome the chance to fulfill requests at Find a Grave.
I claimed your request for pictures of headstones of Jefferson and Mary Grigsby.
Because of 3 weeks of rain and more rain with some snow, hail and wind thrown in...my time has expired.
We did go down this morning while it was cool and walked most of the cemetery before the sun and heat got too intense. I did not have enough sunscreen on.
We found other headstones with the Grigsby family name, one laying on the ground from a vandalism incident last summer. This warm winter and sudden heat has the bushes, weeds and trees taking over. It is usually a fairly well kept place, but there hasn't been much yet. It only got done raining day before yesterday. We also have pictures to send of the damaged markers plus others we located. Just not the ones you are asking for.
We would like to contact the cemetery manager and find where the graves are just because we don't like to give up and it is great fun.
Let us know.
