RE: James Riley
William, always nice to meet a new family memeber. The world is so small. Thank you for this information. I have worked mainly on my fathers side of the family. I will store this information. Thank you so much. Shari

Thanks, I received you e-mail and printed it to file with my records. She would be quite a bit further away for me.

I see you are a cousin, so maybe you would be able to answer one question for me. I am related on her grandmother Gossman's side and have this info. Mary Rae was married first to Harry F. Sewell, Jr.(see Courier-Journal Sept 18,1955; has a nice picture of her, too)he died after only about 6-1/2 months (Courier-Journal May 10, 1956). Then she married a Miller and had three children by him (Kentucky Vital Records Index). Then the third marriage was, as you have, to Vincent Francis Kennedy (He died 16 August, 1997, leaving 4 children, and one that died in infancy, from his fist marriage) Now, my Question is this: Do you know the first name of Miller. I have not found it . Also, do you know the first name of the daughter Kathy's husband Vetter. These are not essential but would be nice to fill in. Thanks a lot for your work on the memorial. Kathyrn

I noticed you have pension claim #888423 for James W Metcalf, wife Rebecca. I have found several men by the same name and at least one whose wife was also Rebecca. The claim has a minor child Benjamin listed, which doesn't fit with this family. Do you have any other information not listed on the pension claim or any ideas about whether this claim could belong to a different family? Thanks.

Not quite sure what I need to do with your Find A Grave edit that you sent. Do I need to change Rose or Samuel?

I have a friend, Tom. We have known each other for forty years. His father was an Indianapolis survivor. Tom's god-father, was also a survivor. Both have passed away.

Martha Ann Wright

That's fine. I would just say he adopted two of Martha's sons, Benjamin Franklin and Richard. They are both attached to his memorial.

RE: Wilhelm Kleinholter
Sorry I have not gotten back to you on the Hehemann Cemetery. I have an great aunt that is buried in Cave Hill and it has her husband's name on the double headstone, however he is buried in Evergreen with a new wife, so they might have put William's name as a memorial. One of the Hehemann's are buried on top of the spouse in the Hehemann's plot. It has been a while since I have looked up anything at the Catholic offices, I rarely get up to Louisville anymore. Thank you. Diana

RE: Isabella Shepherd Hardy
I just wanted to add Isabella as Joseph Magdalene "Josie" Hardy Alender's mother. I can send Josie's death certificate if you need documentation. You are related to my best friend. Josie is her great grandmother. She is excited to find information about her father's family.

Wilhelm Kleinholter
He is buried in the same plot area as my great, great grandparents, the Hehemanns.
I have a couple of relatives in St. Louis and some also have German on the headstone, Unfortunately I did not get the translation off the weathered headstone of Anton Hehemann or his wife.
My daughter did translate the German obituary you had on find a grave.
Died on Wednesday, Febr 3, middday, 12:30, our beloved husband, father, and step-father, Wilhelm Kleinholter, after a long illniess, was 43 years old.
The funeral is today (Friday) morning at 8:30 from the house of mourning on the Gray St. between Hancock and Clay St. Instead, where as relatives and friends of the family are kindly invited without futher notice. T?he mourning left behind Anna Maria Kleinholter, born Hartlage, Heinrich Kleinholter, Wilhelm Kleinholter, Sophia Kleinholter, children Anna Maria Nix born Kleinholter, Theresia Brilling born Hakemueller, John Nix, Stepsons Jacob Brilling. We stand around your burial vault with pain and sorrow loudly with teary glances. You are dead, friend of our heart, proud your wife, your childrens fortune. Dead? No! You live a beautiful life in your soul in your bright/inner homeland. As guardian angel you will be around to bless us. You, beloved have from the earth been called. BE blessed then in the riches of the transfiguration, we look faithfully to the heavens up high: The faithful love, desire God sent, early or late, beckons us a reunion.

Yours has all the information and is already linked up. Why don't we just move the photo and delete mine? Less work.

RE: W S Martin
Let me transfer Mary to you as you have Payne's in your line and you have worked on this line. I photograph cemeteries in our county and surrounding counties and put them online to share. You can see I have transferred almost 700, so I am not one to hoard up the memorials. I would love to transfer William and Mary to you. O K.

That is strange that they would have two stones in two different cemeteries. I would say yours is the correct one as the family has seen to having his death date on that one. Did he marry two Mary's? Really I suppose neither should be deleted, we can just put "see memorial ######" and leave it at that if you agree. I made both the pictures in the two cemeteries. He probably married the one in Calhoun Cemetery and put up the stone, then remarried after her death and the second wife put him in the Sacramento cemetery. Whatever you want to do but I would say he is in the Sacramento cemetery, and both memorials should stay.
