Working together is half the fun! Genealogy is such a collaborative hobby.
I can't begin to count the major discoveries and big breakthroughs I've made by working with distant cousins on lines none of us could have ever figured out alone. The most amazing example being a year ago this month when a third cousin and I managed to do the impossible--we discovered the identities of my orphaned grandpa's biological parents, and, over the next few weeks, all eight of his biological grandparents and so much more.
As always, I look forward to working with you now and in the future!
All my best,

|B.J. Waters||RE: Mannes|
You're welcome. You wanna hear something funny? I took the Mannes photos over a month ago. While in the area for another photo request, I snapped a few extras, and the Manneses happened to be among them. Imagine my surprise when I saw your photo request. Especially since this cemetery has over 300,000 burials, what are the chances of that happening? Then I went back over my notes and noticed that the previous photo request I had done in the area was YOUR request for Ollie Wagner! So, it wasn't such a coincidence after all!
If there are any others you need, just let me know.

It's good to hear from you also. I am working on all the graves in Sec I of Rose Hill Cem. Came across this group and saw that you had entered info on them. I don't really have any other interest in them, thought you might.

I looked in to this as best I could. At issue is both cemetery burial list have him listed. Do not know if you have ever been there but all but the catholic cemetery in Dawson are on the same road and run into each other. I have sent an inquire to the historical society in Dawson as that is were I got the list from to begin with.

Thank you, I'm glad you let me know why the SAC was going to be declined. Even tho the stone says one thing, you are aware of family history that states otherwise, and was willing to give that knowledge to help with my understanding.
Have a great day!

Source: Gold Star Honor Roll, A Record of the Indiana Men and Women who died in the service of the United States and the Allied Nations in the World War 1914-1918, published by the Indiana Historical Commission, 1921.
That is the "official" sourcing credit.. If you look online you can find this book at archive.org and it list hundreds of soldiers some with and others without pictures. I'm trying to get them all listed and/or get a photo posted as you see sometimes the one I found is the ONLY one they have for the soldier or is better then any that are left.

Thank you so much for the obit and Photo of Mildred Sarles. I have been currently receiving so many obits and updates on Knightridge Cemetery. I photographed this cemetery because many of my Robertson ancestors are buried here. So glad to post info for these names and dates carved in stone. Hope you are doing well. My husband and I have been photographing Walnut Ridge Cemetery in Clark County, IN. I have about 2000 photos to post over the winter.

This Mr. Eads is listed also in the Clear Creek cemetery, with another person as his wife, Vernia/Verna. Did you know of Mr. Eads, so that this can be cleared/corrected? I thought perhaps he married the other woman after the first wife died?? Verna/Vernia is the only name on the picture of the tombstone in Clear Creek, where as the tombstone at Mt. Ebal shows both names. Parents for Mr. Eads are the same in both entries.
Your thoughts on this? Thank you.

I am wondering if I may ask permission to use the photo of the family and the gravestone? Were the photos made by you?

You are welcome. Before I created the memorial for Mary I searched the last name and it didn't come up. I suspect I misspelled the last name. I have added the picture to your original memorial and deleted. Have a great day!

Yes...it was just a mention in a letter that ask that she care for him until other arrangements could be made.
I would not have noticed this if it hadn't of been the fact that the young couple had been on their way to visit with great grandma & great grandpa. I also wouldn't have known about this if you hadn't of mentioned the accident. It is a small world.

Hello Dee. It is nice to be back. I have missed it and have a great deal of catching up to do. Last year was a very different year for us. Not only a major move but also lost 4 family members and a friend last year. 2014 looks so much brighter. We have 2 weddings to look forward to this summer.
Hope you are doing fine as well and enjoying your beautiful weather. If I can help you in anyway please let me know.

I took the Birthdate from the marriage record, I just wanted to let you know where I got this data. I originally found the date for Mary in the Valhalla records and did not realize until later it was incorrect I did find the date Aug 11, 1932 and it appeared in the paper Aug 12, 1932 Her birth year is all over the place in the records and census. Thank you for the information.
