Hello - I transferred Robert to you. Another contributor asked that I link her to another memorial, so I did that first.

|El Memorializer||RE: Edna Louise Dietz & daughter Ruth|
In your SAC to me you said, "I will check to see if Edna's grave is in the Lime Ridge Cemetery or the adjoining Trinity Lutheran Cemetery the next time I am in the area." and in another SAC you said.....
"I will check whether Ruth's plot is in the Lime Ridge Cemetery or the Trinity Lutheran Cemetery the next time I am in the area."
Based on what you told me in the SACs, I felt you were pretty sure they were at Trinity Lutheran, but you still were going to verify that they were not in Lime Ridge Cemetery. Now in your message to me on my profile page, I get the impression there was never a question in your mind.
I believe you are right, even before I found Edna on a transcription list for Trinity. Because Find A Grave forbids duplicate memorials, I deleted mine. Even though mine had been added first, I understand from reading the forums that it's not who puts a memorial on first that is allowed to remain, but the one who places the memorial in the correct cemetery.
Unfortunately, the obituaries are gone. I tried to retrieve them, but was unable to.

|El Memorializer||Edna Louise Dietz & daughter Ruth|
Thanks for alerting me of the possibility that I may have put both Edna and her daughter, Ruth, in the wrong Lime Ridge Cemetery.
I was able to confirm from a transcription listing of Trinity Lutheran done in 2002, that Edna had a gravestone there with her birth year of 1910 on it. There was no death year because she didn't pass away until 2003. However, it is evident to me that with what you told me and with what I was able to confirm, Edna is buried there. I feel strongly that her daughter, Ruth, is there too even though Ruth wasn't on the transcription listing.
I am going to delete both of my memorials. If after you confirm, you find they in fact are buried where I first placed them, you can move yours. Thank you again!

Thank you so much for going out to take those pictures. I know it said you couldn't find Phoebe Briggs, but I appreciate you trying. I heard that there was some vandalism at that cemetery and some stuff was lost. Too bad. Well, perhaps she was even buried somewhere else and the memorial was just created along with her husband's.
Either way, thank you so much!

I have promised to not transfer any memorials transfered to me by the originator of this memorial. I suggest you write to Crow and if she agrees then I'll be happy to make a tranfer.

Hi Esther, Thank you for the response, there is no hurry, please just wait until you are going there for some other reason. I really appreciate it

Hi Esther, I am the one that thanked you for the photos of my uncles. I would like to ask you if you might get some photos of other gravesites. I know it is a lot to ask but it would be appreciated.The names are:
Albert J Lander and Deborah, my great-grandparents Block 1, Lot 36, Site 3 & 5
William Mell, my grandfather Block 1, Lot 35 Site 6
George D and Cora Wright, my grandmother and step-grandfather. Block 1, Lot 18, Site 6. I do not have a site number for Cora. Her obit says she was buried in Asbury, but I have not found any records for her
I am not even sure that they have markers.
Just a little history for you, George Wright was the first person to have an automobile funeral procession in La Crosse and my great grandmother was the second person.

|Jeanne S||RE: Martha Lyttle|
Hi, Esther! Thanks for the reply. No, I am so involved in other aspects of my family history (writing a book) that I just added the info on a lark......I am happy to let you monitor the grave of Martha Lyttle (the family used the spelling Lytle from about 1880 on). Even used Little in Canada in the early 1820's!
Martha would have been an aunt to my mother if she had lived to adulthood.
Martha's name was likely given in honor of her mother, Julia Moller/Miller Lyttle's, sister, Martha (Mrs. Fred Krause), who died in Sioux Falls SD in 1919.

Thanks, Esther. This was my first time doing this & I didn't bother to "claim" the photos. Oops! If you don't mind, go ahead & put your photos up. Aside from the ones requested, I took photos of several other Kastenschmidts & Craigs. I'll see what you post & then maybe add a few more. I also went to 2 other cemeteries yesterday & will be busy uploading those photos today. This is a learning process for me!

I would also like your permission to add this photo to my site in Ancestry. I would give you credit for the photo.
