You have a request on here for a photo of the grave of Charles. I am hoping to fulfill it for you but am having troubles. The cemetery is very small and doesn't have an office. I have called the number on the fence several times and left messages but no one has called me back yet. Today I decided to walk the cemetery row by row to see if I could find any of the graves for the requests there. I have been in a lot of cemeteries and this is the worst maintained one I have ever seen and it's so small that there really is no excuse for it. If this is a family member buried there, I highly suggest you call and complain. The number is (708) 923-2203. You can't drive on the road that goes through. The grass is knee high. Trees, bushes and vines are very overgrown. I got at least a dozen mosquito bites just trying to walk through.
I am not giving up. I will keep making calls and I also have a call into the Village to see if they can tell me who owns the cemetery. I will do all that I can to get this photo for you and also let them know that their cemetery is badly in need of some tlc.

RE: Sarah Ann Ferguson Mortimer
Sarah is my second great grandmother through Samuel Thompson Mortimer, my great grandfather and brother of Hannah. Is my research correct that David B. Mortimer lived with Peter and Hannah Jordan after Sarah died? Thank you for adding Margaret and William to her find a grave.
Have you researched the Mortimer family? I am trying to prove David B. Mortimer's father, John Lee Mortimer and his father David Mortimer.
Again, thank you for responding.

Jacob Gross, Jr/Kitchen Cemetery
Darren,

Just letting you know about a duplicate memorial record that needs deleting. There are 2 entries for Jacob Gross, Jr. in Kitchen Cemetery in Warren County, PA. I've attached a photo to one of them, so you can delete the one without a photo.

Thanks!
Julie

Laufenburgers in Winona
OK, transferred. Let me know if I missed any. No, I'm not related -- just frustrated that the cemetery management is very uncooperative with FindaGrave volunteers, therefore leaving requests unfilled for years, because volunteers can't find the graves. Would be nice if the historical society would volunteer to put the records online. That would eliminate a major hurdle. Glad I found these for you, Darren. Take care, Renata

More Laufenburgers
THere is also a Linda and Bert Laufenburger that I created memorials for and added pictures, and an Alice Laufenburger Salisbury. They are all around the same monument as Louis and Henrietta are, so I'm sure they're related. If you would like any or all of those memorials transferred to your care, just let me know and I'll happily transfer them to you.

Gross Family @ Greendale Cemetery
Hi Darren, I photographed the stones for the Gross family today. One side of the four-sided monument is very hard to see but there is an additional name on that stone PLUS a foot stone for a Nettie Gross that I didn't see on your list. Her date of death appears to read May 7, 1880.

I will post that monument for all the family members plus the foot stones I found. Some are barely visible due to being inside a bush with root growth. Not sure where you want me to post the foot stone for Nettie since she does not have a memorial here. Please let me know.

Hello...I added the photo you requested for Florence Jewell in Cochranton Cemetery. Florence and her husband, Francis, are in Section 21. There are two other Jewell's beside them -- Charlotte Jewell (1949-1969) and John "Willie" Jewell (1953-1989). I took photos of those stones as well if you need them.

None to be Forgotten
RE: Laufenburger's Woodlawn Cem.
Don't even try! I just emailed another person with a request there. I am going to contact the Cemetery Board and tell them about this experience. The man at the office actually accused me of trying to play a trick on him! Even if you get any plot/grave/lot info, I would still need to have him map it for me. This is a HUGE rolling cemetery with lots of hills, dozens of sections, bridges, potter's field, etc. I still would not be able to find it. Give it about a month and then request again. Maybe I'll have more cooperation by then!
