RE: May be Relation
Hi Sue -
Yes, we are the same Reddens from Murray. This is my husband's family. He is Francis who is #9 of 11 children of John Henry and Iva Nettie Redden. How are you related? Who are your parents?

Sussex Co., DE Morgan Family genealogy.
Hi, Sue Ann. Just letting you know I sent 3 Morgan-related e-mails to your listed e-mail address. Please check for them when you get a chance, in the event they perhaps arrived to your spam folder. Thanks. Best regards, Dave

How kind of you! I'm so glad you liked the article. I have been going through OLD newspapers at the state archives and have been posting things to the appropriate people's sites. I think they are fascinating and I have really enjoy reading them. It's so neat to find things from the "Good old days" where weddings, engagements, anniversaries and births made front page news right along with the major headlines and the social pages were filled with who visited who! Far cry from today huh?! Thanks again for the acknowledgement. Best wishes :)

Sue Ann,
I am distantly related to John Redden.

John L. Redden
father-in-law of mother of nephew of wife of brother-in-law of great grand aunt.

I took the picture while I was in the Oklahoma Church cemetery taking photos of close relatives.
I see you are interested in McKinney. My great grandmother was Margaret McKinney. There were a few McKinneys in Osage County, Missouri, where my family lived. I can't sort them out.

How sweet that you still post on your great great grandmother's memorial! I have found an article in the paper about her and posted it on her memorial. I thought you might like to see it.

Hopefully I will be able to be at the reunion in Belle instead of doing therapy or in the hospital. It was so much more fun when I was able to do the genealogy and get around to all the court houses. Now that was the good ole days.

Not sure if I can make it or not. I don't walk very well anymore. It would be nice if I could, so I will just have to wait and see. Thanks for thinking of me.

You are so very welcome! That's great that you have the picture to add. It brings a personal touch and makes the connection seem more "real". Thank you!

Hi Sue,

It took me a little time to figure out that you are Sioux-Z. Good to hear from you. Hope all is well with you!

If you ever obtain any information on what happened to Joseph McKinney, I would appreciate your sharing it. In the meantime, if you have requests, I would be happy to help.

Best Regards,

Can you tell me if the Henry Redden you have listed may have the middle name of Clay? I am a Redden and my family has a Henry Clay Redden from the same area.
Thanks for any help,
Cathy Redden Gray

John L Redden
I saw your memorial to John L Redden at the Oklahoma Cemetery. I have been researching all those that rest at Nubbin Ridge Cemetery (New Bethel Cemetery, Bland on findagrave). And I have listed on findagrave the Redden's that rest there and their relationships. Records of Nubbin Ridge also indicate a Sercy Redden resting there but with no dates. I have been wondering if this could possible be the Rachel that was married to John L Redden? I have also created a Nubbin Ridge Family Tree on for all those at Nubbin Ridge Cemetery as a means for my research. Do you know for certain or have proof that the birth and death dates shown for John L. Redden on his headstone are correct? I have his birth in 1813 and death in 1885. And is his middle name Louis or Lewis? Resting at Nubbin Ridge are my Great Grandfather William Carroll, his wife Elizabeth, his brother Daniel Columbus Carroll, his wife Nancy Ellis, seven of their children and many other great uncles, uncles, aunts, cousins too numerous to list. And I am related to the Criders, McKinney's,Tackitts, Jett's, Rattles, Lemmons, Reddens, Poseys, Haines, Kohlers, Ellis, etc. that also rest there.

Hi, Sue!
Hi, Sue. Thanks for the message that you left on my Find A Grave home page. I must admit, though, that I have no recollection of writing to you, though I definitely recognize your Sioux-Z user name as one I've encountered at various times. You mentioned Genforum, though I don't remember posting anything there in years. (For years, I've always used RootsWeb, when I've wanted to post genealogical messages.) So, it may have been a long time ago that I wrote to you. Best of luck with your research! Dave
