Sheila Black (#47197088)
member for 7 years, 10 months, 27 days
Hi, I am transferring Alice's memorial to you. However, in the next week I will be returning to the cemetery to replace the "bad" photo of the marker. As it's a very large section I photographed in one day, I will need time to locate this one. Thanks, Joz

RE: Conklin
No. I bought the marriage certificate at an estate sale in Chicago. I don't know the name of the man who lived in the house.

The marriage certificate is in a gold colored frame that seems original to the certificate. Mimi

Did you know my Grandfather Dr. John H Trotter or his brother Dr. Robert Russell Trotter? Or, my Father In-Law Dr. Edgar F. Heiskell, Jr or his father by the same name?

Brent Smith
Possible Distant Cousin
First off I would like to say thank you for your research that you have done and shared it with everyone on here. I might be a distant cousin of yours through Nancy McGlumphy Wright and I might be related to you through your possible Headley ancestors through Lydia Wright Headley, who was the daughter of Reason and Nancy McGlumphy Wright. I am descended from Anthony Smith and Anthony Thomas Smith of Greene County.
I stumbled upon your memorial that you posted for Paul Wright in Greene County Memorial Park. I recently posted his parents memorials once I identified them. I noted that his headstone is incorrect for his birth year.
I recently was in touch with another Headley cousin. He is passing along to me a book about the Headlee/Headley family of Greene County. I just wanted to introduce myself and see if we were related.

Mary Buckingham
Thanks for the added info on Mary and her children.

Your info from Graham-Grimes Genealogy, p.47 has been posted on Mary's bio page.

I was aware of Mary's children that survived to be adults + Samuel but not all of those others that died so young. It must have been a great burden for the parents to face and to have to do so on so many occasions 1866-1873. And, then for Mary to lose Simon in 1873 I can only imagine her feelings.

Susan R Perhala-Horry County Cemetery Registration
RE: re: 23215685
Suggest that you send your requests to edit@findagrave and of course save those emails to follow up. Can take up to 3 months but at least you will have them in line for attention. Best to include URL for the memorial, URL for the inactive contributor, and your URL. Separate emails for each burial you are interested in editing. I might also send a separate email asking for transfer for each of these relatives of yours. The editors are slow, but quicker to handle edits than transfers. I just was notified this a.m. of two transfers of management to me...I had asked editors assistance back in the spring. Surprised me because I thought they just overlooked this particular contributor. Almost seems like they gave it 60 days to see if THEY could contact that contributor or monitor their activity before they were comfortable classifying them as inactive. They wouldn't take my word for it that I had waited 90 days already. Oh the speed of light! Patience is important.
