Photo for Jonas B McClung
Gay Lee, I have photographed every tombstone I could find in the Springhill Cemetery and didn't find a stone for Jonas B McClung. I worked off a list created by Herbert and Jeanie Newell taken in 1958 and added burials up to Dec 2008 and Sept 2009. The Newell's list showed that his grave was unmarked at that time so I assume someone must have told them he was buried there.

Jas. A. Cook Tombstone Photo
Gay Lee, your photo of James A. Cook is now online. Although you can't read much of anything on it.

I did a etching of the stone with crayon and it was so hot it just melted when I tried rubbing it. It's 103 degrees so it was too hot to use crayon but that's all I had with me. I'll go back and do another rubbing with charcoal later on when it cools off a little.

This marker also has the foot marker with J.A.C. on it. I don't know how I missed that the first time I took the photos. Hope this helps you some.
Best Regards,
Marian

RE: Nancy Cook
Gay Lee your welcome for the photo of the tombstone for Nacy Cook. I'm going to see if I can get a broom handle with a nail in the end of it and search the ground to see if I can find the grave of Jas. Cook. It may very well be there and grown over. I just don't know. I'm trying every effort to discover all the markers I can and any other information from the library and funeral home. We only have one funeral home and they handle all the maps for all the cemeteries in the Winnsboro Area. I'm grateful that I could help someone else.
Best Regards,
Marian

No, they have no additional info unless a parent paid for the grave, and then just the names; I have found out his location, tho.

Hi Gay,

You are very welcome! I am sorry that I wasn't able to get better pictures, but unfortunately there just wasn't any contrast on the stone. I almost walked right by it and could barely see the name Gonzalez! Jessica

Also, I added another marker in same row that was not listed...Albert Griffin, thought probably related. These are all in Section C, Row 14, by the way.

It appears someone else posted pictures for your memorial. I am sorry I was unable to go until yesterday...should have checked my claim before I did, but enjoyed the "look" as always.
