Did you mom work at Ashbury Gen Hospital (Greenbrier)in 1944-46 time frame? Going through my mother's pictures (Eva Jane VanLear Coppock) I came across some pictures that may be her and your dad. Please contact me and I will send you a picture to see if it is your mom. If these are pictures of your mom, I would be happy to send them to you.

Thanks.

RE: Cerilda Cox
You are correct - I saw the same 1st name and thought that was her
I have a Bible that Boone Cox gave to Joyce Neville Cox and her husband Lewis Albert Wilking - they were my great grandparents on my mother's side.
It just has the children's birth days that's all about them

Gerstle transfers
Shirley,
If you don't mind I have transferred my Gerstle's to your management, for their better care. If there is any other matter I can help you with, don't hesitate to ask.

Re:Josephine Gerstle Darling
Welcome back, I accepted your edit, but the age on the stone is off by 1 year, are you certain of her birth year? I also realize that, what's carved in stone doesn't make it correct.

Connerley Switch Cemetery
Hi, I don't know if I told you what I found out about the Connerley Switch Cemeteries or not. If not, here goes; if I did, you can delete this note too.
I contacted the Chamber of Commerce of Mitchell, a helpful person there, gave me the name of the person to contact for burial tracts, and business for that cemetery. I called that number and it was reported, as far as he knew, there was only one Connerley Switch cemetery in Lawrence County. I think now, when searching for the cemetery, there is only one Connerley Switch cemetery that comes up.
Thank you for your help in this mix-up.

Sue Hale Sheppard
Malinda Smith Wilkinson
Before accepting your EDIT request for the spelling of Malinda for Malinda Smith Wilkinson, I looked at here memorial and found that you had posted a photo of her. I'm glad you have the treasures of family photos and are willing to share them.

I also followed the links to the memorials for other members of her family. If I am correct, Malinda was your great, great grandmother. I would be happy to transfer her memorial, if you would like.

I would be pleased if you would read my Bio and visit my parents' memorials by clicking on their links.

She was my great aunt and we are having a hard time tracking documintation on her. Other trees say things like she got married by age 15 (maybe to Milton Merry) and died around age 19. If you have any resources like marrage or death documintations, it would be a great help and please contact me.

Oak Hill, Gerstle and others
Glad I could help - there are names on the other sides of the column. Others on it are:

Silas Cook 1837 -
Lucian D. 1841 - 1910
M. Elvira Cook 1831 -1851
Philina S. 1856 - 1878
William T. Gibbons 1867 - 1935
Elmira M Cook - aged 10 mon.
Alexzina M - aged 8 mon.
O. Harriet Cook Thayer 1828 - 1855

I added pictures to the 2 Davis names you had listed under your bio - there was 3 other names on the stone. Both monuments are side by side and I have a picture I could send if you have an email address.

All names are in the F.A.G. data base now.

Rick
