Sarah Boyd
Hi Sharon. I had completely forgotten about this request!! I have her name as Sarah Miranda Boyd if that helps 1898-1778 and she may have two children listed with her. Sarah Junell Smith 1916-2004 and James Boyd Smith 1918-2010. These children are listed in my great grandfathers obit. Thanks

Hi

I'm so sorry about the county of death. Sometimes my computer mouse sticks on Houston County instead of Hennepin which are right next to each other. I have corrected.

Shaving cream on headstones
Sorry to be so long in getting back to you on this. Here is one article I found - http://ncptt.nps.gov/blog/shaving-creamgenealogists-friend-or-cemetery-conservators-foe/

This is not the one I originally had seen, but it does not recommend that method.

Entrance photo to Fredericksburg Cemetery
Sharon, Sorry but I have no knowledge of this cemetery and it's entrances. We were in Fredericksburg years ago and I snapped that photo. I am not from that area.

RE: Re: Louise Knott headstone
It's an interesting little cemetery out in the country nestled between farmers' fields. I spent most of an afternoon photographing the headstones. That was a while ago but I've got some free time and thought I would see what I could add for the memorials that had no photos. I'm glad I could help.

RE: Knott, Karras & Kinney etc
I did not go to the cemetery yet, so I don't know if Andrew Lawrence Kinney is buried next to Clara Kinney. The pictures I found were already on the memorial pages. Perhaps the individual (clio) who took those pictures would know. I think the St. Croix Valley Genealogical Society just goes around documenting local cemeteries for historical and genealogical purposes. On their profile it says they transcribed and photographed St. Patricks Cemetery in Sept. 2013. I'm not aware of Clara being special to the community.

RE: Sorry! I hit enter instead of tab!
I have visited the Hoven area. I also went to the library in Gettysburg and found many of the obits that I posted on here. They have excellent resources there and a very nice Historical Building that I found more information on family. I have many pages of information on the Schaefer family. I am not sure exactly what you have, but I am willing to help in any way that I can. If you prefer you can email me. My email is on my profile page.
You also asked about Johnsburg, MN. A very small town with a church and a cemetery. There are a few Schaefer's buried there. My Schaefer ancestors are buried at Adams, MN.
You can (click) on any of my memorial flowers and save them to your scrapbook. I find most of them by (clicking) on Edit button for your Scrapbook. Then (click) add new item to my scrapbook. Then (click) choose from users uploads.

I hope this helps.

RE: Knott, Karras & Kinney etc
It looks like the St Croix Valley Genealogical Society got a photo of Rose's name & dates of birth & death (http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=pv&GRid=64442269&PIpi=90941863). Is this the Clara Kinney you're looking for (http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=pv&GRid=115122433&PIpi=89634765)?

Karras headstones
Hi Sharon,

I saw your photo requests for the headstones of Mary and William Karras. I went out and photographed the entire Kinnickinnic Cemetery last year, and I did not see their headstones. Since these are not recent additions to the cemetery, I am sure they are not there. The town of Kinnickinnic still exists; it borders Hudson and River Falls. The German Settlement Cemetery is in Troy, which also borders Hudson and River Falls (and Kinnickinnic). There are several Knotts buried there. There is a Saint Patrick's Catholic Cemetery in or near Hudson as well where some people with the last name Karras are buried. Unfortunately, I have not been to either of these cemeteries, but I would bet the people you are looking for are at one of them. I hope this helps.

Shaving cream on headstones
What I had learned was the acid in the shaving cream can age the headstone years in just the few seconds it is on the surface. I could not find the link immediately or I would have added it here so you could read it. I will continue to look for it again so that I can pass it along.

Transfers
I finally got time to check to see where our relatives overlap. It turns out that I'm not related to Gerbers in Nazareth except through marriage. I am, however, a direct descendant of the Nazareth Ackers through James Andrew "Andrew" Acker. I would like to keep these, but to be honest, I'm not very good at writing bios. If you have something you'd like to see added to their bios (or any other part of the memorial) then I'd be happy to add it in and credit you for the work. I've also listed my relationship with these individuals, so if you have a closer direct line relationship, then by all means let me know and I'll happily transfer to you.

These individuals are not related to me at all and have been transferred to you:
Mary Elizabeth "Elizabeth" Sueper Gerber (120698953)
Michael Gerber (120691299)
Fr Cyril Lange (121641548)
Josephine Christine Gerber Ball (120691086)
Gerald Henry "Gary" Gerber (121441234)

These individuals are also related to me and have not been transferred:
Catherine Margaret Acker Braddock (121149512) - my great grand-aunt
Valentine Paul "Val" Acker (120237546)- my great grand-uncle
Jacob Peter Acker (120231787) - my great grand-uncle
James Andrew "Andrew" Acker (120231831) - my great grandfather

Thank you for all the work you have done in adding pictures to these memorials! I really appreciate it!

Corrections
Wow I have a ton of corrections to catch up on. Here's a few notes on the ones you submitted.

Msgr Frederic L Hyland (121620714): This one I'm going to have to leave as Father, even though I know that's not fully correct. The edit form just won't let put in a custom title. I think I remember coming across this issue when I originally entered this person, because I see that I had included the title in the bio. If we ever get the ability to enter a custom title, then I'll get back to this memorial to change it.

Fr Cyril Lange (121641548): No idea where 1875 came from for the birth date. I got the information for the memorials from the book Holy Family Cemetery 1902-2002. The birth date is correct there, so it was my mistake. I'm not related to him, so I've transferred him to you since you mentioned he is a relative of yours.

Ulrich Steiert (121739315): Another typo on my part, since the book is also correct. Also thanks for adding the photos! I did a survey of the cemetery in the mid 90s and took photos of every headstone, but I misplaced the disposable camera I used before I could get them developed. I live very far away now, so I'm grateful that you took to the time to take pictures.

Louis J "Bud" Steiert (121739597): Thanks for letting me know about the wife's memorial. She died after the book I'm using was published.

Thanks for letting me know about these corrections!
