WOW !! You have gone the extra mile, and it is most appreciated. Nice photo and good to have the correct date of death. My mother and her side of the famil all grew up in the Peoria and Knox county area, so again thank you for your time and effort.
Warm regards,
David in Wichita

RE: Armstead HUFFMAN #10506046
I am so sorry for not getting back to you sooner, however I have been preoccupied with work & family & have simply stopped working on my family tree for too long. I do apologize if there are mistakes in dates, etc. with what I have added on find a grave, but you have to understand that I began this journey as a history project in school over 25 years ago & it has been a labor of love! a lot of info I have was verbally told to me by grandparents (who are no longer living), & I simply wrote it down, I am certain there are mistakes (geesh what I wouldn't give to sit with them & ask questions again) My direct line is that Armstead (who would be my 4th great grandfather) was b 7-19-1785 & his father is Ambrose Sr. (who would be my 5th great grandfather) b 11-11-1753 d 6-24-1849. I don't know if this helps you on your journey or just confuses matters more, but yes the search for the Huffman's is very confusing as there are a lot of same names in the tree. I have tried to include info in the memorial pages out of books complied in my hometown of Preble County Oh. You may find this site helpful http://preblelibrary.org/genealogy

Happy Hunting & please don't hesitate to let me know if you need anything else.

RE: Hasty Family
Hello Thank you for getting back with me. My girl friend that I have had since I was 7 years old and now I'm 59 she asked me to do this for her. She is sick and I told her I would she did not know much about her family but I have found out a lot I do go to library and can get on Ancestry I usually get on family search and some other sites. Her line Alfred s Gaddy he married Frances Ellen Hasty, Her father was William Riley Hasty, What I have found since I wrote to you is Jesse Hasty and Nancy E. Heath was his parents.I am still checking on Jesse Parents I believe so far that his father is Peebles Hasty Sr. and mother Nancy Polly Haney Hasty, His parents are Matthew Hasty and Lydia Peebles, Matthews father James Alexander Hasty Jr. and Elizabeth. Could you tell me if that's right? How are they involved with Jesse James gang? Sounds interesting. Thanks for your time.

Florence Davis (Crown Hill Cemetery)
Hello Don,

Sorry for the very late reply on your request. Due to lack of time and so many requests it is hard to complete them all in a timely basis. Also I have been off line for a very, very long time.

Thank you for the family connections for Florence Davis. They have been made.

Michael

RE: Thank you, for the correction/Etta McCroskey....
Hello Don,
I appreciate the kind words and acknowledgement regarding my work on the McCrosky memorial pages. I didn't do a crypt number correction for Etta today, if that is what you meant, but probably did it in February this year when I was sent a couple of "edits" to approve by Larry Crawford (#46629010).

I have, however, linked Etta with her parents, and with the dates you provided, I've added a couple additional pieces of information regarding Etta's 1st husband, Henry H. Gertz. The info will help you confirm the dates you gave, plus some additional information.

Regarding Etta's name being on tape on the McCroskey crypt, I was in that corridor a few weeks ago and noticed it still had her name on the tape. If Mr. Crawford is a family member, and you can find others, maybe they would pool their money and have her name, birth & death year placed in metal and attached to the crypt. Etta's obituary said survivors included a daughter, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Sincerely,
Jan Fenter

RE: Regarding Edwin HASKINS @ 133026301
Don,
Thank you for the info on Edwin's parents! The links have been made. By the way, the easiest way to suggest family links is to use the Edit tab in the top right-hand corner of a memorial. While I myself don't mind making links manually, some researchers throw a little tizzy fit. :)

Hey, do you happen to know Edwin's birthdate?
Thanks again,
Kathie

since you created the parents, you will have to put the siblings on as their children. Sorry I am unable to do it.

RE: Eunice Belle DePew
When I look at the marriage record online (via FamilySearch.org Eunice's last name appears to be Moore and the person transcribing it thought it was Moon. Eunice's grave marker has her name inscribed as "EUNICE B MOORE WIFE OF WILLIAM DEPEW DIED OCT 3 1878". So, I believe that Moore is the correct maiden name.

I don't know about Joseph. What are his dates? When you say William are you referring to William Madison Depew (1843-1915) or William Depew (1813-1887)? I have been able to confirm on the 1850 & 1860 Census that William Depew (1813-1887) had three children: William Madison, Isaac N, and Elijah J Depew.

Thanks for the note.
Have changed the date. Somewhere on one of my computers is the picture of the grave. I'm only about 3,000 pictures behind in uploading. I basically stopped working last October and am only slowly getting back into the work.
Thanks for the compliment. I am only one of many.

Okay, there is a public library in Ardmore which has a very good genealogy section - they possibly could have some information. Ringling has a very small library; its days open are unusual - it would be hit or miss if they would have any information.

The best place would probably be at the History Research Center with the Oklahoma State History Center as they have all newspapers on microfilm for the entire state.

Good luck in your search. Are you related to this person.

Hi:

I can't say for sure - someone sent the information to me to add to the memorial. I learned my lesson since then - now I include the contributor ID or the name of the person who sends information to me. That long ago when the death occurred, it would be difficult to trace without having access to the old newspapers.
