RE: William RHODES
Hi Mary,

Happy Turkey Day!

William Rhodes 1745-1825 was my 4th Great Grandfather. Most of the research was done by Carl Rhodes who has retired from Genealogy.

Unless you have discovered some new data I'm unaware of, who have no PROVEN or even close parents for him. I have POSSIBLE parents for hin as John Rhodes & Martha Sanford. :) Would love to see your documentation if you found something!

You of course have more than my permission to use ANYTHING I have posted. There is a LOT more on Ancestry if you have access there.

Who is the brother of William that you descend from?

Thanks - Steve

Hello - can you share the source of this photo that you posted:

http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=pv&GRid=14277026&PIpi=31212506

and how it was identified so that we can create a good citation for it? The photo can now be found all over the internet and at ancestry without any source/ID information. I am hoping that you might be able to help track down the origins.
Thank you and Best Wishes.
-C

RE: danford
Mary, I have some info, but I am not sure that you can put it together. Years ago, I got some genealogy from a descendant of Zach Taylor Danford family. I have attended their reunion in Hubbard. In it I have a Lille B Danford, born Oct 1885 in Washington Co. Parents were Zach Taylor Danford (1849-1931) and Mary Miller (1846-1908)and it shows that she married a Tom Jackson. Now that fellow that I got this from has since died. If you are a member of Ancestry, you will find that if you put in Tom Jackson (death in Hubbard) it will show a Thomas W (Tom) Jackson and spouse Lillie B (and obvious wrong birth date because of the children ages. I followed that lead and she was buried as Lula Jackson and no connection to Danford. Humm. I don't show Martha Jane Danford and Ashley R. Rogers as having a child. Martha is buried in Grimes County. I think it is Hughey Cemetery, but you probably have that, if not it is Whitehall. Let me know how this ends. Karel Danford

Milton A. Stephens
Ward family
Hi Mary,

Was just wondering if you are related to the Ward family from Heavener, Ok? Tabitha or Tobitha Hickman Ward Heavener, was a relative of mine. My great grandfather Lad Hickman was a brother to Samuel Hickman who married Lucy Fill-
moon-tubbee, a full blood Choctaw (I believe they were the parents of Tobitha).

I attended a Ward-Hickman reunion at the Runestone Park there in Heavener in 1980-81. My father and I gave Betty J. Poulin some information to use in her book, "Choctaw Heritage" at the time.

I have information and pictures on my Find a Grave site on some of the Hickman relatives that you may want to see.

Regards, Milton

Katherine Moneymaker went to the cemetery a few years ago and said they had unmarked graves. Not sure she knew exactly where. I agree they should. Nancy

Thank you so much. Of course I like it. That was very thoughtful of you. I just finished a scrapbook of the Stone River/Murfreesboro fight and am adding the soldiers in the family who were there. I have photos of Phillip Moneymaker, Calvin Luther, William Lindsey and Francis Marion Renfro that I will add to it. Also Leroy Corum. We went on a Civil War Table of Atlanta field trip there so had maps of locations of all the major army groups at varying hours. N
