RE: Fulfilled Photo Request
Hi Sandi, sorry to hear about Dorothy. When I view the picture on my computer it shows correctly. I will try from a different computer this weekend to see if it shows upside down so I can fix it. We are proud of our vets. If you change the headstone let me know and I will take another photo. Wendy

I also have a copy of Alma's obituary. I'll add it to her memorial for you.

RE: Adding Family Links- VanAuken
Hi Sandi,

Thank you for your message! Girard Van Auken was my 3rd great-grandfather on my father's side. We descend through him and his first wife, Catherine Bevan. Their daughter, Sarah Van Auken and her husband, George Washington Mollineaux were my 2nd great-grandparents.

Okay, Daniel is yours. Something seems wrong with the family entries since Daniel is listed with a sibling of the same name and with the same birth and death dates. Hope you can correct that.

Hello Sandi: Thanks much for the links you sent on Daniel's parents. I've added them. I also noticed that his full birth and death dates were missing, so I added them too. I'd be more than happy to transfer management of his memorial to you. I think it's always better for a relative to have editorial control since you probably have more details that can be added to the biography. Just let me know.
Regards,
-Peter

Eleanor & Girard Van Auken Photo Request
I see that you have put in a photo request for Girard and Eleanor Van Auken. They are buried in the oldest section of Delaware cemetery. Many of the stones in that section are warped and are no longer readable. I tried to photograph all the stones in that section last year but sadly, they couldn't be read. I want to try again this spring and maybe I can do a stone rubbing to bring the letters out. When I do, I'll keep an eye out for your Van Auken's and hopefully their stone isn't too bad.

Hi,

I wanted to let you know, I found the stone for Lottie and Daniel, and I'm about to post it, but I wanted to let you know something that's a little disappointing...The stone was pretty much buried, and I wouldn't have found it without your clue about being next to that other stone.
I removed the grass and the dirt to uncover it, but it's plenty dirty. I'm sure you can put it another request and hopefully after it rains it'll be cleaner.

Adam
