I received the your request,BUT I AM CONFUSED??
You said 'this is my 3rd great grandmother... the memorial that you were sending request from was GEORGE Hoffman.... grandmother?
Further you seem to suggest that your membership # is 46466353, when I entered that, I got error message.
Can you please check your request. Do you want me to transfer George or a grandmother? What is her memorial page #?
Find A Grave contributor Marcia has made a suggestion to you regarding your Find A Grave memorial for George Hoffman.

When I took this, I saw other Millers and took pics and posted them on the cemetery site. It appears they may be relatives because they were all in the same area together.

You are welcome! I don't know if you noticed, but I did add her husband... and there was a grandson in the lot as well.
I'm happy to transfer, I have no connection to them.

I got hooked on Genealogy from a cousin. I'm just as passionate as you are about it. It's good to see more people excited about our ancestors and what they went through. I even have a photo of my great grandfather Ben with his covered wagon that the family drove from ohio to Michigan in 1900 and settled in Gratiot Co., for a while before finding a place in Hubbardston, MI to finally settle.
I love photographing graves too. I've photographed 24 cemeteries so far, always searching for more, especially the old cemeteried to preserve the old headstones and adding names to cemeteries that weren't already listed. If you run into "Sun" issues glaring on the headstones what I've found is to carry an umbrella, hold it up with your shoulder and take the photo, it keeps the sun's glare off the stone. Give it a try, I'm sure it'll help a lot. and I like carrying a little wisk broom to sweep leaves and dirt off them too to give it a good look and remove grass and weeds off the stone so names and dates can be clearly seen.
I hope you continue on in doing what you do. I've had many family members write to thank me for adding their familie's names to the site where they had found it and the joy I get out of helping others is such a blessing. So continue on and God Bless you for all your doing.
Sometimes I wish there was a group for F.A.G. members in the area where you could get together for coffee and just talk about your experiences with this kind of enjoyment we get out of this.
Good Luck to you.

Can I use your photo of their headstone for Genealogy purposes please. I live down in Alabama now and so I can't possibly get to the Cemetery to take my own photo.

You are quite welcome :) I meant to tell you, on the other side of the monument, was another name. Surname Shaylor. Anna I believe the name was. I made a memorial for her. If she is your relative, let me know and I can transfer if you wish? There were other Shaylors in the area as well and I have photos for them. Just drop me a line! Have a great weekend!

|Ghost Chaser||RE: Charles Otto Prather|
Yes, I do know who Charles Otto Prathers parents were. Charles Otto was my great grandfather. His parents were William Jacobs Prather b. 9/26/1839 Clark Co., IN. d. 3/17/1900 Clark Co., IN. He married Margaret Andrews on 11/3/1864 Clark Co., IN. She was b. 6/24/1842 Indiana d. 6/2/1909 Indiana. Both are buried at New Chapel Cemetery, Clark Co., IN. I don't know who her parents were but I do have the Prathers/Praters back to 1450 in England. There's a great book about the Prathers written by E. Jack Prather called: Thomas Prather 1604-1666 Descendants and Allied Kin, published 1994. He is no longer living but you may be able to find a copy at a used book store or maybe Amazon. There is also a good book that includes the Prathers called: Maryland and Virginia Colonials: Genealogies of Some Colonial Families by Sharon J. Doliante Vols I and II copyright 1991 reprinted 1998, 2000, and 2004. Some of the families listed in it that pertain to the Prathers are:Prathers, Spriggs, Robertson and Nuthall. Hope this helps. If you want any other info let me know.

This may seem odd but I really enjoy going to grave yards.
To see the civil war stones and others really gets to me at times.
The sacrafices made by others to keep us all safe and secure kind of a humbuling feeling.
