Ocean View Burial Park, owned by Dignity Memorial, is a privately owned cemetery. Dignity Memorial will not give information to a third party, you must be a relative. They feel that they could be sued for release of private information.
If you contact their office (through email) and request their location I would take a photo for you. They would be willing to do a lookup if the request came from a family member. If you cannot figure out your connection, say you are a cousin.

If you want to contact direct:

Once you have the location just enter it into the memorial page and it will show on the photo request.
Thank you,

RE: Charlotte Higginson et al
Hello Cuz Beth - let's chat further when you get back to Frazier Valley. I live in Colorado mountains at 8600' elevation, so am savoring remainder of fleeting summer. I've wandered through churchyard at Egham but was unable to locate a memorial for our shared ancestor, Ann Clarke Haynes, and left presuming she either never had a marker or it has not survived. On next trip I'd like to see whether Reading cemetery has a marker for Robert Haynes -- we probably share similar interest for wandering through cemeteries. Best to you and look forward to future chats -

RE: Robert and Ruth Butcher, Hornings Mills
I apologize for not posting that earlier. I didn't read the stone very closely and didn't realize Ruth was on it as well. I'm glad I was able to help.

Charlotte Higginson
Hi - I just added memorials for Charlotte Haynes Higginson's parents, which you might add as links - father Richard Haynes (#182925205) and mother, Jane Alleyne (Payne) Haynes (#182925975), both interred St. John Evangelist, Clifton, nr. Bristol. Let me know whether you received earlier email explaining our relationship - hope all well!

RE: Jonathan Higginson
Hello Beth - this will be great fun since we are, apparently, cousins, although apparently one generation removed.
My 3rd great grandparents, Jonathan and Charlotte (Haynes) Higginson were half-cousins and shared the same grandmother, Ann Thomasin (Clarke) Haynes (1765-1840), so your 4th great grandmother is my 5th great grandmother on two separate family lines. As you're aware, Ann Thomasin Clarke first married Nathaniel Barrow and had my 4th great grandmother, Sarah Ann (Barrow) Higginson (1785-1859), Jonathan Higginson's mother; Ann Thomasin (Clarke) Barrow's second husband was Robert Haynes and their eldest son was Richard Haynes (1792-1859), Charlotte Haynes Higginson's father. It's all fairly complex but I think you can see how we're related - I'm anxious to see which of Robert Haynes' other sons you're related to and, of course, we both go further back to the bloodthirsty pirate Stede Bonnet.
Charlotte, as you know, came out here to Colorado, USA, as a widow and that's where my branch of the family remains, albeit now migrated over to the Western Slope of the state from the Denver area. Let's exchange further data, pretty exciting... Grant Houston, Lake City, Colorado USA

You're welcome.
I was down to St. James Cemetery, obtained a map layout of the cemetery and on the back of the map was a list of important people buried in St. James Cemetery..... hence the source of my info.

Hi OhSunnyO,

Thanks for the reply to my additions. Off hand, I cannot think of any more. I think my aunt would be very pleased with what we have done. I had many wonderful aunts but Madeleine was probably the sweetest.

As ever,

RE: Adelaide M Garson Rainey, Barrie Union
I haven't lived in Barrie for more than 60 years, but you can access the Barrie Examiner online by visiting the website "Our Ontario" - search for Barrie.

RE: Adelaide M Garson Rainey, Barrie Union
I found her obituary in the Barrie Examiner, 16 March, 1944, p 10 and it clearly states that her maiden name was Carson. No need to transfer it to me. Her husband was first cousin, once removed to my father-in-law! I am happy to have it left as it is.

Madeleine (nee Hudon) Molson
My name is Girard Richard "Gerry" Christmas. My mother was Marcelle Antoinette (nee Hudon) Christmas and her identical twin sister (my aunt) was Madeleine Emilienne (nee Hudon) Molson (12 June 1912 - 19 June 1995) . A number of sites have Madeleine listed as the sister of Reginald Owen Molson and the daughter of his parents. She was not. "The twins" parents were Alice and Leo Hudon, also of Montreal.

Reggie Molson met and fell in love with Madeleine Hudon while the two were working at the Sun Life Assurance Company in Montreal. They would later marry and have one child, Robert. The family traveled extensively in Europe, Australia, and the United States before finally making Vancouver their home.

I would be grateful if you would set the record straight.

Thank you.

RE: Adelaide M Garson Rainey, Barrie Union
Please check her marriage 14 Jun 1893 in Vespra township. Sometimes stone cutters' C's & G's are hard to decipher. I grew up in Barrie & there were lots of Carsons in the area. My sister-in-law's mother's maiden name was Carson and she was related to Andrew Carson, a neighbour.

Clarence and Mary Fenton
Searching for family of Clarence George William Fenton and Mary Constance Long Fenton. Posted on Google by ohSunnyOne in 2010. Clarence's father was my grandfather's brother and I am doing a geneology book.
Clarence was born November 8, 1914 and died September 7, 2010.
Mary was born April 4, 1933 and I believe she is still alive.
Thanks in advance for your assistance!

Victoria Almira Emms Jory
Hello -

I have just added Victoria's birth register to this page. I hope you will remove the statement that her middle name was " Susan". As you can see in the register it is "ALMIRA". I was unable to find any information to substantiate your claim. If you have something to the contrary please let me know.
Thank you for creating this page about one of my family members.

Rob Corbett
RE: Christopher Corbett, Dunkerron Cemetery
Hi Beth,
Thanks for the feedback. Christopher Corbett is my 2nd great grandfather, so we have quite a bit of information on his family. His first wife was Mary HAMILTON, she died in Feb 1842 and is buried at Dunkerron, although there is no stone existing. Anecdotal evidence suggests her grave was near the fence, and directly in the path to the church. I believe this is the second church to be built on this site, so not clear if her grave still lies in the path... Christopher then remarried a widow, Eliza(beth) (Kearns) VanNorman, and the family moved to Belgrave, Huron County. Christopher died in 1893 at age 82 (approx.), and is buried at McCrea's cemetery, next door to his own property, although again I believe there is no stone that exists. We are not sure at this point where his second wife died and was buried.
