RE: Mona Virginia Pappin Rogers
I hope this helps. Jim Lewis was my 1st step-father, from 1953 to about 1957 ... then he disappeared. What information I entered in only from my memory. When my mother died in 1968, I managed to contact him thru his brother Norman, as I needed proof of the divorce. I later got a condolence note from his mother. I remember her and her husband "Al?" being very kind to me while we were in Spokane. But, other than his brother Norman and his wife Wynonna (sic), their 3 kids, another brother, Harold? .... that's all I know ..... Best of luck to you.

Francis L Hyde memorial

Hello Myron,

Thank you for the kind note you posted on my page. The "Edits" have been completed. I visited our local cemetery today for a requested grave photo, and while there took photos of the grave markers of Francis and Jane Hyde, which are now posted on their memorials.

Thank you for the updates to the memorial of Francis Hyde. I'm not related, so if you would like the Hyde memorials transferred to your care, please let me know. You are welcome to use the photos in any way you would like.

Best wishes,

Just a quick note: For this headstone location, we went back to the office for a second time for a more detailed map of the area and to make sure the lot number was correct. They were very helpful. They confirmed the location/lot number. Two of their workers' helped us search the area the second time.

I went back and looked at the cemetery listing done for Bemus Point Cemetery and found that she(Loraine Smith, Town of Ellery Historian has him listed in Lakeview. I deleted the entry. Thanks for the heads up. Glad to fix a mistake.

RE: Waters Cemetery
So sorry to be late (over a year) in my reply, but I am the sole caregiver of my mother in her 90's and I must have overlooked your post or it found it's way into my spam folder. I do apologize and appreciate your effort in finding the gravesite. Undoubtedly the headstones are no longer visible. Again, thank you and I'm sorry for the delayed response.

Grave marker usage --Fay
You requested permission to use grave marker pictures from Willoughby Cemetery that I took. Yes, of course. That is why I take them so that families may use and enjoy them. Sorry it has taken so long to respond but was having computer trouble.

Are these 4 people related to you? I would be happy to transfer them to you. I don't hold onto memorials that are related to other people, no matter the distance they are....could be your 8th cousins 15x removed for all I care.
The backstory to these memorials is the sexton, who lost his job a few months ago, asked my gen group to photograph the entire cemetery and he was going to put them on the internet. He never got around to it and when I offered to help him 3 years in a row I just decided to do it myself. Then a friend chipped in to help and we got the whole cemetery done in one summer/fall session.
I'm just proud it's up on Find A Grave finally. Let me know it you want me to make the transfers.

I added the obituary that you sent to me. Please send any other updates you have for my memorials. The more information on them the more helpful they are for the descendants.

You can send them to
That would be exciting if someone can confirm that. I know the 1880 Census was taken June 1st and lists him as 3 years old. And I know he is dead by 1900 as his mother is listed as having born 10 children but only 5 are still living and I know which ones are still alive. So if this says his birthday was on June 18th, then he would indeed be only 3 at the time of the census. It is the correct initials and the correct age to be Charlie. And it looks like it was carved by perhaps a parent, or sibling who was illiterate. Which describes my family exactly! Can't wait to see if there is more info in the dirt if you are able to do that. With this information why don't you go ahead and transfer that to me if you wouldn't mind. Again, I can't express how grateful I am for your diligence.

PS. Is there anything else on the headstone for CD Wright? A date or anything? Did you make a memorial for it? The closet person I have is a Charlie Wright who was born in 1877 and I believe died before 1900. He is listed in the 1880 census but nothing after. He would have been the Grandson of William Wright and Margaret Waters.

RE: Waters Cemetery
That is amazingly kind of you thank you so much for all that work. I would love to help but I am in Seattle. My dad and I have talked about a cross country road trip this spring. I'll let you know when and if that happens. I wonder if there is a state or county agency in charge of cemeteries or are they all privately managed? I have been in contact with Noreen as I have learned she is my 3rd cousin 2x removed. We are working to find out more about the Waters line. Unfortunately, the relative that did most of the work thus far recently passed away so we are on our own. Fortunately for use, she left much of her work online so we have a good starting off place. I am also looking to see if I can identify C.D. Wright. I know we Merge at William Wright who married Margaret Waters. Maybe C.D. is a sibling?
