Beverly Quigg Kirk
RE: Trueman Abbott
My pleasure. I live in New Mexico and had a few extra hours in Lewiston so I thought I'd do some Findagrave photo requests. Glad to be of help!

Hi Vicki, Thanks for the links to their parents, etc. It gave me a chance to update their memorials and add some vital records. David

Hi Vicki - Thanks for the information, I've updated her memorial, and added a note about her mother's name (Betsey) in the DC. It is possible that she had a middle name, Elizabeth, and was known as Betsey ... but I can't find a reference to "Betsey." David

RE: Perry at Wildwood
No problem :) I just took another look at my pics....I've added a distant shot of the Perry's to each one. For the Quimby's, I added distant shots for:
Allecia (1820 - 1870)
Leone F (1871 - 1967)
Mabel F (1866 - 1956)
Samuel (1819 - 1864)

I don't have them for:
Allecia (1845 - 1875) or Estella (1860 - 1876)
It looks like Cherie duplicated my efforts after I claimed the requests, but if you want to delete my close-ups and use her distant photos you can - it's not a problem :)

We're going to keep doing this until it's right lol

RE: Lydia Dow True/Jacob True
thanks for the kudos. I know what you mean about damage to stones. I had taken one in So Rd and the next year it was broken in half. this was definite vandal and not mother nature knocking a tree over. but I have seen that too. so now I just recalled I have to go to primrose cem in Laconia and see if the tree is gone so I can add the next names & pics. That is an unfortunate cemetery. the internments were the poor, homeless, & unwanted. I didn't add all the stones due to a tree and also 60 of the headstones are just numbers! no names.

Quimby's and Perry's - Winchester, Mass.
Hi Victoria, I ventured out really early this morning and was able to take pictures of your requested family members. I'll be posting the pics sometime today or tomorrow.3 of the Quimby's you requested weren't engraved on the stone...they are:
Leone Quimby b.1847 d. 1891, Elizabeth Quimby b. 1852 d. 1935 & Gertrude Quimby b. 1876 d, 1882. There is a blank side on the monument that may have been for them but never engraved? There are no other stones for this family in that whole area. Would you like me to post the family monument on their memorials?
Thanks, Sharon Lavash Hawkins

RE: jacob true
I did not see a 1609 Jacob True in the cemetery and I did not see one in the find a grave memorials. Did I make the correct changes?

Victoria
thanks for the email. I made some correction. However the copy of the internment from the city sexton does not show a Jacob True who died in 1809. It does show a 1816 date. I have made corrections based on what you selected as the memorial numbers and it matches Lydia to the Jacob 1816.

Rick - please DO NOT Transfer - here is more info on Jacob True and Lydia Dow True:

I will send a copy of this to Amy Levesque as well so you two can coordinate - it looks like the photo does not match; this appears to be Lydia (Dow) True 77431823, who married Jacob True (77431768)..

First, the Lydia you have as Lydia Dow True appears NOT to be correct: this appears to be someone else. I cannot read the headstone that Amy has put on her page so I have no idea - and the History of Salisbury does not give an 1809 Death Date for a Lydia Dow or a Lydia True.

Massachusetts, Marriages, 1695-1910, index, FamilySearch (https://familysearch.org/pal:/MM9.1.1/FC82-LZ1 : accessed 03 Jul 2013), Jacob True and Lydia Dow, 20 Mar 1773.

Jacob True, b. March 26, 1748, d. 1809

'Jacob (Deacon) removed here from Salisbury, Mass, as early as 1767, settling on the farm now (1882) occupied by Moses S. Morse. He served in the Revolutionary War, and was in Capt. Ebenezer Webster's Company at Bennington. Nov 10, 1765 he purchased of Captain John Webster 80 acres, No. 8 second range, paying eighty Spanish milled dollars. He m. April 6, 1773, Lydia Dow, who d. Oct 6, 1848, aged 96.

I DO NOT HAVE A DEATH DATE FOR HIM - so this COULD possibly be the Jacob True in the Cemetery that D. 1809. Again, cannot read headstonel

THEN, THEIR CHILD: P 815 and P 816:

Son of Lydia Dow True and Jacob True
born 10 Jan 1778 in Salisbury, Merrimack, New Hampshire
he died April 30, 1816

married Jane, daughter of Shubael Greeley; after his death on April 30, 1816, she m. (2) Oct 28, 1816, Jonathan Dickerson of New Chester; she d. Sept 30, 1855

Hi Victoria,

I am happy transfer Samuel to you. His wife is managed by Rick Pickwick who I am sure will have no trouble doing the same - he is a cool cat.

Cousin, I added a few more lines to say that this is a 19th c. memorial to the family and not a gravestone. I have lots of stuff on William and Elizabeth if you're interested.

You are very welcome. I would have taken a "side by side" photo, but there is a rock wall in front of them with a cedar tree in the way too. Those stones are in great shape! Enjoy!
