Hi Linda,

Sorry I didn't see your request for the transfer. Next time, it will go faster if you use the Suggest A Correction option on his memorial. I don't check my profile page all the time. :D But here you go, let me know if there is anything else. :D

I worked some more on Jo-Allen to see if I could find a link. I did find her marriage to William F Luck & the family in the 1930 census. I tried following all 3 to the 1940, no luck. I then tried to go backwards. I couldn't find Jo, but may have found William's family in the 1910.

Do you have her parents names.

RE: Schlegel family
Sorry, I'm not a relative. I take photos while I'm in Lone Fir and add memorials when needed. William Schlegel was a famous (in Portland, at least) glass artist and there's a lot of information on him. I'm happy to add information to Henriette's memorial - especially another spouse.

Sorry, I do not know your Bill contact. I do have some additional Ellsion data you may wish to incorporate into your memorials for Hans Christian Ellison and his spouse Berta Marie Martinsdatter.

I will send it by traditional Email.

I can transfer them to you. Do me a favor and do the way FindAGrave does it. GO to a memorial and click on EDIT. Then type in a line. Do this for each that you want. I am happy to send them all!

Margaret
Maggie Burns
Linda,

I have transferred Maggie Burns's memorial to you since she appears to me a member of your extended family. When I add a lot of names to a cemetery on Find A Grave, it is with the hope that this information will help someone find a long lost relative or friend of the family. I see you have made some lovely memorials on Find A Grave and am confident that not only is Maggie returned to family but also to very capable hands.

Best wishes,
Margaret

RE: John H Duffy
Hi, Linda. No problem at all, I hope the information helps you find John. I understand on that unique family situation, my paternal grandmother's family is much the same way. I grew up in Tigard, and try to get back as often as I can. My mother is in section W, a newer section, and I like to explore other areas when I visit. Good luck! Sincerely, James

Hi. I am unable to find my map, unfortunately, but the best way I can describe the section is if you take the center entrance from Skyline Drive and head left to the top of the hill, John is in the left section that faces Skyline. There are a few upright markers scattered near the road, and John has one of the many flat markers about mid-way down the hill. I hope this helps. Good luck. Please let me know if you would like me to transfer him.

RE: Re Katherine Silbernagle
I looked up John H. Duffy as I have entered a lot of Duffy's. And I see John H. was entered this year by James Burke. He doesn't live in Portland but he is a 'graver' & hits Calvary sometimes when he travels here. I have corresponded with him off & on & he is a good guy. He has entered several hundred of the thousands up there. I double check all my entries & if I had photographed John H. Duffy I checked to make sure it's not a duplicate. I think James Burke hit it before I did this year so of course his entry takes precedence & I completely delete mine. One clue is all the leaves on it so it is near a tree. But I bet it is near your Katherine's grave as well. Good luck with all your ancestry search. It is addicting!

RE: Katherine Silbernagle
Just looked. It was a very recent entry so I am so glad you found it now! Mt. Calvary is SO big & I started in the oldest section first. But since they have their own website (no pics) & people can check at the office I have not been putting sections. It takes so much more time. So I cannot give you the section logistics. But I can tell you I am pretty sure this is the southeast area from the office main road. The road that goes past the office then takes a left up the hill to a circle. The graves slope down the hill on the left side of the cemetery. There are lots of flat stones there as well as some vertical ones down lower. Many rows. The only reason I possibly recognize this one out of the thousands I have done is the stain on the stone. It was on quite a few stones in that section from one of the landscaping guys who dumped fertilizer or chemicals on them. I hated to see these stones like this & it does not come off easily. I've been up to Calvary the past 2 days but raining harder today so won't be going. I do so hope you find it. Try the slope where there are the few trees. Let me know if you have any other questions.

Hi. Thank you for contacting me. I'd be very happy to transfer John's memorial to you, if you would like.

John is on a very steep hill facing Skyline Drive, where it appears there are many unmarked graves. I'm not sure of the section number, but I do have a map somewhere in my files. I don't recall if his wife was nearby, but I should be heading out there again soon so I can check for her.

I've been told the early record-keeping was quite spotty, so that doesn't surprise me.
