|James Onstott||RE: Onstotts|
I faintly remember my grandmother Pearl Onstott "Penny's" wife mentioned Lee Onstott, really didn't talk about her very much. Of course, you have to remember I was like age 5 or 6 when I think I remember my grandmother mention her. Now I do know that Penny's brother Guy was a serious alcoholic, and I wanna think he died from drinking too much. Another thing working against me when it comes to researching my family history is my dad was the youngest son out of 4 siblings, and I am the third youngest in my family among my siblings, so it really pushes the time line kinda far out and so I am always trying to play catch up.
So what are you to me, like my 3rd of 4th cousin?
I visited Rosewood Cemetery in Achille OK this weekend, I try to go at least 2-3 times a year to visit my grandmother and my dad, my uncle Bob Onstott and aunt Dora Maria (Named after Penny's mom obviously) is buried there. My aunt Jacquline is also buried there.
One day we should make a trip to where Elizabeth and William Sercy JR Onstott is buried, in the Onstott Stewart cemetery. That cemetery had been lost and our family wasn't able to find that cememtery for over 80 years. It wasn't until the 1980's that my dad and I located one day while he was tuning the property owners piano. Must have been just plain luck, or destiny.......
I have visited the cemetery back in October of last year. There is an Englishman who owns the land and has built a rod iron fence around it and had spelled Onstott out on the front with the year of 1846. He said we can come and visit anytime we want. It is believed that their house was built near that cemetery. Which is where our great-great-great Grandmother built her house when they were granted the 1st class land grant from the Republic of Texas. So yeah, that is really neat to know that is where our family started, at least our branch.....
I would like to see pics of Dora and Bill Onstott. That is my great grandmother and grandfather. Penny moved them to Achille and they lived just north of where Penny and Pearl lived on the North side of Achille over by the Water Tower.
Thanks for the information, let's stay in touch and if you can post them or send them to me and I will post them on their site!

|James Onstott||Claud Onstott|
His parents were William Searcy Onstott Jr and mother was Dora A. Smith (Who are my great grandfather and great grandmother).
They are buried at Rosewood Cemetery in Achille Ok. That is where I grew up as a kid. http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gr&GRid=77187935
The only siblings Claude Onstott had were my Grandfather, Burtram Glen "Penny" Onstott, Wilbert "Guy" Onstott and Wilton Claud Onstott.
There is a Lee Onstott (Their Sister) but not sure where she is buried.

|Carolyn Arntson||George Benton|
Hi Rebecca: A small group of us are adding burial records/photos and any updates from records we can find for the Milwaukie (Oregon) Pioneer Cemetery. I do not find an Eleanor Benton. Do you have the maiden name? Could be she was listed that way. In Benton I have only George Warren Benton, Ralph Benton and Clyde Benton. I would be happy to do anything I can to assist you.

|Jack Clifford ||Anson Benton and Eliza Benton|
I am Jack Clifford
I have quite a knowledge about who Eliza Benton is.
I would be glad to share it, but if it is about Anson and the remarkable man he was, I don't know anything but what is already on his page here at Find a Grave

|ralph fries||Anson Miller Benton|
Good Afternoon Rebecca,
I am looking for any and all information about the life of Anson Miller Benton and Eliza Benton. They homesteaded in the North Star District of Southern Okanogan County, Washington, south south west of Malott, Washington and about 14 miles north of Brewster, Washington on the North Star Road. I surmise they arrived to homestead in the North Star between 1904 to 1906. They received their Homestead Land Grant Patent #179670 in accordance to the Homestead Act of 1862 for 160 acres on February 23, 1911. They sold their homestead sometime during August of 1912 to a Mr. Days.
I am a researcher for the North Star District's Homesteaders that settled in that part of the Washington Territory and the state of Washington for the first homesteaders arrival in 1886 to about 1930. My Grandfather homestead about 4 miles south of where Anson homesteaded in 1887.
Every spring since 2006, we are having the annual North Star District's Green Valley Farm Pie Social Event and Display. I write all the history about the area that covers a 20 mile radius of my Grandfather's homestead. At the present time, I have about 300 ft of 4'x4' display placards with all the information attached about the homesteaders I have researched and assembled for the display for the descendants to view and read about the history of the area.
My Grandfather wrote a book - From Copenhagen to Okanogan - it is about his life in his homesteading days after his arrival from Denmark. I think you can find a copy of his book on Amazon.com. My email address: email@example.com
Thanks for your help, it will be much appreciated,
Ralph J. Fries

|Loring Wells||RE: Eva Wells|
I would love to know what you know about my great grandmother. i on;y have her mothers name, Sarah Jane benton, and her full name Evaline ward Wells. Her son, Paul was my grandfather. I have nothing on Eva's father and I only have a birthdate for Sarah Jane of March 1839, in Ohio.
Evaline was my Dad's grandmother. I met her twice - apparently once on her 85th ( I was very young) and once when she was 102.
Her sister lived to be 104 or 106 - I have a news paper clipping about Eva's death and it mentions her sister.

|Pat Kaas||RE: William George and Fred Becks|
You are correct in your assumption! Fred Sr. was my grandpa. I'm happy to share what information I have. Are you on ancestry? I have both a Becks tree and an Angus tree up there.
Not sure where the Frederick came from, but I think it goes even further back than my grandpa. I have been unable to find information on Wm. G. and Fred's grandpa before his marriage to their grandma. Still working on that one and will have to make a trip to the Mormon stake to see if I can get hold of a copy of his marriage record...
Conntact me via my email, firstname.lastname@example.org if you'd like. I have a fair amount of info to share

Hi, I was looking around on Ancestry.com and found that several people have her middle name as Valena. I couldn't find any documentation of this though.

I believe I have made the updates you suggested for Glen Chandler and also linked him to his mother and added a photo of her grave. Are you related to Glen and his father, Elza Chandler? If so, you and I are probably related. I'm a descendant of Elza's father, Thomas Chandler's brother, John Chandler. Let me know if there is anything else you see that I've missed.

Yes, I live close to Blue Eye and have been working on getting photos of the headstones and missing memorials put into its cemetery for Find A Grave. I would be grateful for the Reunion Book as an adobe document and to post some of the info to memorials that I am managing. You are wonderful! I moved to this area and decided that my personal project would be to locate and enter Stone County Cemeteries. Thank You!!
