RE: Leola Patterson
Hello!!

Glad to get the picture for you, but I'm not related, just documenting this cemetery completely one grave at a time, nearly finished, many graves have no markers.

Yours truly

Ruth

They lived in the household with Edgae and Lou Willis. She is age 72 and John is there too but they have him as John R which I think is a mistake. It was in the Dosia district. I downloaded a copy if you contact me at kurtcat@windstream.net i will send a copy. Thanks Cat

RE: Hattie Elizabeth Mallory Walker
Hattie is no kin to me. The death certificates were online and were free - 10 years worth. But, they have been taken off due to budget cuts. Hopefully, one day, they will put them back on.

RE: Spruce Grove Cemetery
I would suggest adding the memorial and doing a request. If someone goes to fulfill the request and they can't find it, they'll let you know. I'm not out that way very much and was only at that cemetery once, so I can't guarantee the next time I'll ever be out that way.

Porter Zell Uncapher
I did manage to get on ancestry.com at the Family History Center.
Unfornately, Porter's name didn't come up. The family has been hard to find, even in the census. I did, however find a picture of John J Uncapher and Mary Jane Uncapher's family . It doesn't have the year , but the children are all grown.
If you would like to have a copy. I can send it to you, snail mail, my scanner isn't working.
Let me know.

Thomas Uncapher at Grandview Cemetery
His monument contains no other inscription for Thomas or his family and there are no other markers on the plot. Also, there is no sign of a Porter Zell.

Photo request
Greetings! I see you have one or more requests for the Resthaven Cemetery in West Des Moines, Iowa. I live nearby, and will fulfill your request(s), if you could obtain the curb/section number, plus the plot number.

The grave markers are nearly all flush to the ground, and finding them without specific location data would take hours, and so isn't likely to happen.

But if you call them (515.233.1230), and ask for the plot info, they will probably help you. They balk at helping well-intentioned strangers, like me. You should get the block number (curb number), and the plot number. For example, section 54, plot R-71. We MUST have that curb/section number, or we won't be able to find it.

I think you can edit your photo request to add this data, once you get it. At that point, you may get a volunteer to go after the photo for you. I did some last week, once I got the location data, and it only took 10 minutes.

Best regards -- Mark

Porter Zell Uncapher
Hi Marie,

Unfornately I haven't found any information on Porter. He doesn't seemto be on the census, anywhere. The only date Ihave in my database is his bithdate of Jan 25, 1868 Pine Twp., Indiana co., PA. He was married in Allegheny co., PA..... maybe a clue.
I will have access to ancestry.com on Friday, and I'll let you know if I find anything new.

RE: Henry Tucker
Today, I checked the book "Cemeteries of Berrien County" by Berrien County historians Sue and Johnny Hancock. They show no Henry Tucker with the dates you gave me as being buried in Mount Paron Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. Is it possible he is in another cemetery in the area. There are many Tuckers buried throughout the county.

RE: John Milton Duncan
You are quite welcome! Glad my hobby can help someone, and no, I'm not related. When I get out in the cemeteries, I end up researching the areas/churches/families out of curiosity. It's like it puts a story to each memorial I put up. They become more than just concrete headstones. Curiosity about the layout of the cemetery and the church took me to their website. Great place with a lot of interesting stuff.
