I'm doing research on Lexington, Texas, in preparation for a presentation to the Lexington Log Cabin group. Do you have access to a picture of Mr Reynolds or know where I could find such to use in the presentation?

Emma Britt & family
Thank you for your input on Emma's mother, Martha Olive. Please check the memorial page for Martha and her family:

http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gr&GRid=31038474

I think you will be pleased that I have linked all the children as well as her husband to her. It took about an hour's work on Ancestry.com to find census and other records to confirm this family.

Regards,
Louis

Arch Rowland
Archibald (I think Estell) Rowland, my great, great grandfather, disappeared after leaving his family in Mississippi. He was supposed to to Texas and find a home and send for the family. My grandmother thought he was killed for his money, but I think he deserted the family. A distant relative contacted my and said he had read a Boyd family bible that said Arch went to Texas and joined an outlaw gang.

Ms. Reynolds, Could you please send me a photo of Jack Gardner's grave marker? I ordered it from the V.A. and some local residents installed it. He was my ggg-grandfather.

RE: Robert Allen McDonald
Penny, Sarah is my 3 great grandmother. I come in on the McDonald side through Queen Tinyebell McDonald (She married John R. Rabun)whoes father was Albert William McDonald. I'm like you now and not at all sure where the Oliphant came from. It bothers me that it just seems to suddenly appear. I'll keep looking as well. Please let me know what you find. I saw Wiley, which is the first time I have ever been able to find a father for Sarah. Talk to you LATER DB

RE: Robert Allen McDonald
Penny, Are you a McDonald. My grandmother was a Mcdonald. I've got a good bit of information on the McDonald clan. Like you I did get a line on Sarah's parents but the father was listed as an Olive. Let me take a look and see if I can figure out where Oliphant came from also. Keep in touch and let me know what you fine. Thanks. Look forward to hearing from you. Donna

RE: Robert Allen McDonald
Penny do subscribe to Ancestry.com. If so there are a number of family trees on there that give the name and the sources. If you don't let me know and I will provide them for you.

Robert Allen McDonald
There is a number of sources that list Robert's mother has Sarah Lucretia Olive Oliphant. I've always assumed that the family changed the name Oliphant to make it easier to pronounce. Of course there is the possiblity that her first husband was Oliphant. Nevertheless, Oliphant is a part of her name.

I CARE
Leland Keys
I did check with the cemetery and they said Mrs. Key's had no form signed for burial. That does not mean she is not buried there. There was no family member that signed for burial. That means she is probably buried there and no one bothered to place the death place for her.

There is a memorial for Leland M. Keyes, #41329266, in the DIberville Memorial Park Cemetery. The picture on the memorial is a double headstone for Leland and his wife Mollie Blain Keyes, but she is not listed as being buried in a search of Harrison County, Miss. or the cemetery.

Penny, Thanks for writing. That was a typing error and Joanne's year of death. I have that he died December 31, 1881 in my cemetery record and it is clear on the new stone someone put up in the cemetery.
