|bill Lathan||Roby Phipps|
Roby Phipps does not appear in the database of graves in Saddle Creek Cemetery. I noted this in your request as a problem. However, the name Kyle Phipps and the name Isaac are both associated with a man with the same dates you list. I can send a photo of the Kyle Phipps they list or if you can send the names of his parents that might be helpful because the database lists the names of Kyle's parents. A double match, the parents and the dates might prove him to be your man. I'm going out there later in the week and will take a photo but won't put it up unless you confirm or deny. ALSO, in regard to Eugene Phipps... Again there is no listing in the database for Saddle Creek for him. If you know of another name he might have used, parents, etc. please let me know. As said, I'm going out that way and while there will look for these two stones but the database seems to be fairly accurate and complete unless the grave or stone is new.

Thanks so much for taking and posting the photo of the headstone for Nelda Beasley Huff. I really appreciate it.
I noticed her husband Robert McDuffie Huff Jr didn't have a memorial yet, so I added one and linked him to Nelda. His memorial number is 165362045. I would very much appreciate it if you could add the headstone photo to his memorial also.

|holly adrion||Alonzo Chapman Roberts #155871125|
I was trying to find the grave of Alonzo Chapman Roberts this morning so that I could fulfill the photo request, but was unsuccessful. I could not find record of him on mdwebgen.com and also I spoke to the man in the office at Parsons Cemetery and he could tell me the service was on November 3, 1931 and was from baltimore, but records weren't kept that well back then and he did not have record of where he is buried. Is there any other information you could provide to help me locate him?

|mike reeves||RE: 1897 Exhumation Ft.Toulouse Jackson|
The War Department order for exhumation was mentioned in the paragraph on Isaac Ross in Thomas McAdory Owen's "Revolutionary Soldiers of Alabama", viewable on the Alabama Department of Archives and History (ADAH) website;
The National Cemetery in Mobile would probably be able to furnish more information, if not a copy of the order you seek. Their website,
http://www.magnoliacemetery.com/default.htm , provides for email inquiries and a contact number of (251)432-8672.
Appreciate your interest in the site, although it required some review to remember where that info came from... I'll have to cite sources more often as I get older.

|D & J Cloninger||Alfred Herrick Headstone|
Thank you so much for the picture of Alfred Herrick's headstone. We were visiting an uncle in Verbena and visited this cemetery. It is really something. Somehow we missed getting his photo.
Again, thank you for taking the photo for us. We will be back down in that area sometime this fall and will again go and visit this park. Alabama should be very proud and other Southern states should take their lead to honor those Southern Gentlemen who fought and died for their States.
