Hume Family by MSB
RE: Martha Ann Walters Dunblazier
Thanks for checking this out. I'll have to go back and see what was going with this. I've been down and out since before Christmas and haven't done anything on my genealogy. Hopefully I can get back to some of it in a couple of weeks.
Again Thanks
Marty Hume-Bailey

Martha Ann Walters Dunblazier
Martha was my 2nd Gr Aunt and In your report on Martha and Henry it states she was married in Sept of 1864, but according to Illinois Statewide Marriage Index it lists 5-3-1863. Not criticizing just wondering which is correct.
I don't have much info on this part of our family, just trying to put pieces together.

Robert McHenry Holstine
Are you related to him? He was the brother of my Great great grandfather, James Ambrose.

RE: Re: Photo request for Gregerson
I did go back and did some digging around the site and found a marker for his wife. It's just the funeral home plate - there is no stone marker for her :-( I'll be posting it soon.

Thank you so much for taking the time to travel to the cemetery, for taking the photograph of Zelma Duppenthaler's gravestone and for posting it to her Memorial. The photograph is lovely!!!
Thank you also for your generosity in allowing others to use your photographs. I, for one, will post your photo of Zelma's gravestone on my tree, but I will credit "Find A Grave Member fordvickie for the photograph and for graciously allowing me to post it".

Cuff Family in Maxwell Iowa
If there is anything else I can do to help with the Cuff family history just let me know. I am now living in Maxwell again and actually went to school with Dick Cuff. He and I played hardball together for several years and graduated from the same high school class in 1965. I also have a copy of the original newspaper,The Nevada Journal, Monday, March 25, 1968, when Dick was killed in Viet Nam. If you know of some family members who would want the paper please let me know.

Shirley H
Herrick Graves
Thank you so much for the photographs of the Herrick graves in the Woodbine cemetery. These three all died within days of each other in 1924 - mother and two daughters. What I did not realize until after I submitted the photo request is that there are two more Herricks in that same row, Muriel and Edna, that also died in that same time period in 1924. There are five of them spread out from grave 1 through grave 8 so there are likely three others with them from that same time period. Sounds like a real tragedy happened in that family. I will probably be calling the cemetery to see if they have records of what happened. Thanks again.

I found her parents listed in the Grant County Oregon Cemeteries Book II Canyon City Cemetery on page 72. The cemetery books were compiled by the Grant County Genealogical Society. The Society may have had access to her death certificate which is likely at the Oregon State Archives.

I am not related, so I have no other information:)

RE: Re: Hazel Pittsley
You're welcome. We were on a road trip this Spring and spent a few days in the area. Came home with over 2000 photos. It's taking me a while to get them posted. We noticed a lot of buried and partially buried markers in that cemetery. I believe a local girl got a group together a few years ago to clean up around the markers as her Senior project but a lot of them are becoming covered with sod again.
