Schaeffner - John and Susanna
Hi Tom!

I was at St. Mary Cemetery in Evergreen Park, IL, yesterday and took a picture of a headstone. It is a rather large stone with 3 spots for engraving.

One spot is blank. The others read:
Father, John, 1876-1922
Mother, Susanna, 1878-1911

Is this your same Susanna? Looking at the memorial for John, I noticed all the last names behind Susanna's name.

Let me know and I'll upload the photos!

Mt Carmel-Joseph Scumaci
Good evening-the reason no one had replied to your photo request is that Joseph wasn't in the database at Mt Carmel. I just got the Mt Carmel interment registers on permanent loan at my local Family History Center. Now that we know the location of his grave you can update your request and after the snow goes away, I'll add him to my list of sites to check.
Here's the info on Joseph from the interment register:

Date of Interment: 9 Jun 1945
Name: Joseph Sumaci (as listed on register)
Grave Location: Section 27, Block 4, Lot 124
Date of Death: 6 Jun 1945
Age at Death: 69 years 2 months 19 days
Last Residence: 2613 Luna Av (name of street is pretty unclear so I'm guessing)
Cause of Death: not stated
Presiding Clergy: C Lynch (All Saints Parish)

photo requests at Fairmount Willow Hills Memorial
If you call the cemetery and get the burial location I will go out and take the photos that you requested. Due to privacy laws this cemetery will not give out grave locations to non-family members.
You can email me direct at or post the plot number on your memorial pages and I'll keep an eye out for them.

Mt Carmel- Michele Costanzo Marker
Is Michele a guy? The closest the cemetery has on their database is a Michael Costanzo who was buried in 1931. That gravesite is Section 24, Block 9, Lot 109. There is no marker at that location but a short distance away, at Lot 115, there is a marker for 'Father' Frank (1880-1957), 'Daughter' Mary (1909-1927) and 'Mother' Angela (1885-?) Costanza.

RE: Harbuck
Yes you may use the pictures of Mary and William Harbuck. Do you know of a Harbuck at that same cemetery that would have the intials WRB. I found his grave and footstone but could not read it well enough to add to Find A Grave. Let me know and I can add. Just glad I could help you with Mary. Thanks Janet

Carol B
Olive Chapel Cemetery
Olive Chapel Cemetery seems to have a few duplicates because of the different spellings of the surname VanDusen / Van Dusen. Please take a look. Thank you.

RE: Scumaci
Hi Tom,
You are very welcome. When my husband and I were there to photograph the grave, the sun was not working in our favor. I may try to rephotograph in the ealy morning. The grave is the first crypt located on the A level. I think I might photograph St. Theresa's so you can get a visual of his resting place.
If I can be of any other assistance to you please contact me.

Eli and Eleanor Haddon
Hi Tom,

I was looking on line and came across this website. Eli and Eleanor are my grandparents; actually I am named after my grandmother. I have her middle name, Katherine.

How are you related to them? I am the daughter of James and Dorothy Haddon.

I am interested in hearing more about them.

I was surprised to see how much my dad looked like his dad, my grandfather!

Looking forward to hearing from you.

RE: Stanley Budris
I think I may have confused you. Anthony Thomas is the grave next to Stanley Budris... Anthony Thomas is his full name and he is not a BUDRIS. there is no family relations to each other. I only mentioned it so if you ever go to the burial site you know where Stanley's unmarked grave is located.

The other Budris located a few plots away is Charles Budris, interred in 1932.

I hope that clarifies the matter.

Georgia Shirley
Stanley Budris...
I visited Lithuanian Cemetery today, Stanley does not have a headstone, but I took a picture of where he is buried. Also, the cemetery had no record of his wife Martha. Stanley's is a single grave.

I did find one other grave, Vytautas Budrys, 1896 to 1964 which I took a picture of. Is this someone that belongs to the family ??? If you want to add a memorial, in case it is, I will add a picture...
