I would like to send one of your photos to the Canadian Virtual War Memorial to be placed on the airman's page. Whom should I credit?

Ava Hoyle
Ewan, I didn't realize you had already posted a memorial to Ava, so feel free to delete the one I created. I would have done so, but had already transferred it.

I am on and have access to NC death records, so if you need any look-ups (1909-1975) let me know.

I dont when I will get by their again but I will make a solid effort as soon as I can. If you can get the plot location it will save me some time.

RE: Thank you!
Your very welcome Ewan. I am glad to have been able to help out. I did take 2 more pictures of grave stones with these names and dates and can load them up on here is you are interested.

Eliza McDowell Beatty Born 1865 Died September 24, 1940

Frances Hoyle March 16, 1915 to December 6, 1988.

And again, there are numerous graves there without stones. I've found that when I was looking for my ancestors in another cemetery there were stories like, well all we had there were just field stones and we took those up because they were a bother to the mowing crews! How terrible that is. Now there again too, there were row numbers and if the church kept good cemetery records there is a possibility that they might have names attached to them.

Just let me know if there are any other gravestones though. I'm just 2 miles down the road from the cemetery.

Springfield Baptist Church, Stanley NC

I live just right down the road from Springfield Cemetery and I went down there today. I did find the grave marker for Clyde McDowell and have loaded him up on here.

I could not locate any Hoyles, Ava, Columbus, Geraldine, or Henry.

The cemetery itself is in baaad shape. There are probably hundreds of unmarked graves. I could not find a single Hoyle marker at all.
The church may have information though. There were numerous plot numbers so that might be an option. I also heard that their may have been 2 Confederate soldiers there. Not sure if you have heard anything on that. Anyway, hoped this helped a little.

Hello Ewan, Hope that you are well. Etta Townsend McBride was my great aunt. Her Brother was my Grandfather! I am curious to find out more information concerning my ancestors and relatives. Are you related to either Etta or Nash? What is your connection (if any)? Thanks
