Gideon/Azzie's tombstone
Dear Audrey,

This is your cousin Phyllis Williams Brown. Thank you for being in charge of Gideon's FindAGrave site.

I have a question. Who is the third person (the one on the left of the gravestone) named along with Gideon & Azzie? I tried everything I could to see the name, but the sunlight was shining right on that name when the photo was taken.

Bessie Ohl
Hi Audrey.
Bessie is buried in Forest Hill Cemetery, with her parents. The stone simply reads "Ohl"

Frances Ferry Davis - Forest Hill Cemetery Utica, NY
Dear Audrey:

I was able to find the Plot and Lot location for the grave of Frances Ferry Davis. Please note: the Forest Hill record I was able to search had her listed under "Davies". The DOB & DOD match.

Please accept the "edit" I submitted to Find A Grave, and I will be glad to look for her grave and photograph it when the snow melts away.

Best regards,

Jimmy Stoner
John James Rea McCorkle
I tried to Edit the date of Death for John.
His Nephew (Wm Asa McCorkle, 18) wrote in a
letter to his parents that his Uncle John had
died the first day of June, 1862. William was at
John's bedside when John died. John's brother,
Arch came into the tent just a few minutes
later. The other Brother, George, had been in
earlier, but left a few minutes before John died

RE: Thank you
You are welcome, Audrey! I noticed you have one more request in that cemetery. It is rather large at 20,000+ graves but if you can get a location by calling the cemetery, I will try to find that one when I get over that way again.

To anyone watching Edward G. Brooks
There is a connection between myself and Edward G. Brooks.
I am a granddaughter of Archie H. Chapman.
His daughter, with his first wife, was Miss Georgia Mae Chapman, the loving widow of Edward.
I was four when my grandfather died. My grandmother never spoke of his life before her. It was only later that I learned the truth.
I have looked at census and newspaper records. I have felt a great weight of sadness. To see what a short time they had to enjoy married life. To think of such a lonely, bitter cup.
I believe in providence. That God's providence can take things that are awful, and shameful and bring out of the ashes something of refined beauty.
I am leaving a message here because it will be public, and perhaps the right person or people will see it and leave word.
Thank you
