Regarding the Parents of Kate M Keyes (1865-1867)
I happened upon this line via a descendancy analysis starting with my direct ancestor from the 1600's. Consequently, I am a very distant relative, but I cannot be more specific because the software I am using does not make the connection beyond 15 generations.

I have been researching the Keyes family and found a Kate M Keyes (1865-1867) is mentioned as a daughter to Henry Keyes (1785-1847) and Catherine A Keyes (1800-1884) (Find A Grave Memorial# 95775294). Kate M Keyes is also hyperlinked to Find A Grave Memorial# 132778284. However, my research identifies a Kate M Keyes born in 1865 who is listed as the daughter of Charles E Keyes Sr and Helen Keyes in the New York, State Census, 1865. I have concluded that Charles E. Keyes Sr is the son of Henry and Catherine A Keyes by the presence of Catherine (age 75) in the household of Charles E Keyes Sr in the 1880 United States Federal Census. Furthermore, a note on Charles Keyes' Find A Grave Memorial # 132751624 states that "Charles is buried in the same lot with Catharine Keyes". In fact all of the Keyes herein identified are located in Plot: Lot 16, Section 75. Since Kate is not mentioned in the household of Chas E Keys (Sr) in the 1870 United States Federal Census nor Charles Keyes (Sr) in the New York, State Census, 1875, then Kate probably died between 1865 and 1870. This time range agrees with a death date of June 3, 1867 as recorded in Kate's Find A Grave Memorial# 132778284. Further evidence that Kate is the daughter of Charles E Keyes Sr and Helen A Keyes and not Henry and Catherine Keyes is evidenced by Kate's birth date of March, 1865 (Find A Grave Memorial# 132778284), well beyond the child bearing age of her grandmother, Catherine Keyes, who was born in either 1800 (Find A Grave Memorial# 132745034) or in 1805 (Charles Keyes in the 1880 United States Federal Census).

I am always hesitant challenging other peoples research as they frequently have access to information which I have not found. I only bring this to your attention so that you can check you documentation and either correct the Find a Grave information or help me to reassess my erroneous conclusions.

I would also be grateful if you have sources documenting the maiden names of Catherine A Keyes (1800-1884) and of Helen A Keyes (1843–1901), the wife of Charles E Keyes Sr.(1845-).

If you want web link addresses to the census records cited above please let me know and I will send them to you.

Thanks for your efforts in documenting this (our) family.

Sabato Novello
Hi Terry,

My husbands mother Pearl L Novello was the granddaughter of Sabato and his wife Rosa Manzo. Are they any relationship of yours and if so do you have more details on their respective families?

Anne Hobbs
Thank you Terry for your response.

You are absolutely correct. It does appear that Anne Hobbs buried in Dublin is not correct. I see on Familysearch that Ann Clearihue clearly died in Canada. I can't imagine they would have sent her back to Ireland to be buried.

Please disregard my request.

Ann Elizabeth Hobbs Bickell is my great great great grandmother. My father gave me this information many many years ago.

RE: possible headstone photo mix-up
Hi Terry
When I take a photo request the most important information I need is the plot/Grave location, If there is a headstone and the names are different than the name on the request, I don't know if they are related or not that is up to the person asking for the photo. I can't tell you how many times I get an e-mail telling me even tho the name was not on the headstone the names on the headstone are relatives.
I always take a photo to the right and left of the requested photo with the chance they might also be related.thanks for pointing this out to me.....JP

Benjamin C Hulett # 169752224

I linked his daughter Flora as you requested, I was wondering where you got the information that is posted on his memorial and how you found where he was buried? Benjamin was the brother of my 3rd great grandfather John Hulett.

Thanks so much for the edits. These particular memorials are so tough since the military at the time never included any dates. Your bio indicates you probably are related, right? Always like to check about these edits. BJ

George House - his mother was Minnie Almira Easterly and if you look at the death record for George you can read the Easterly part, the A and a short bit for Minnie. Minnie remarried to Oscar T Hinds and they both died in Texas.
