The last 4 were not with the ones I took today, so, will go back tomorrow and try to find those.

|Dennis Lyn Fields||RE: Cornelia Landon|
I'm getting e-mails saying Mrs Landon lived 1848-1884, so my reading of 1881 is an error. She had a child in 1883. Thanks!

|Linda Davis||obituary of Chloe Merrick Reed|
Thought you would want to know that Chloe's obit was published in the Amelia Island Genealogical Society's quarterly Fall 2010. Interesting reading about a lovely lady.

|Lanie||Lewis C. Bryant & Irene Howard|
Hi - I got your name from Janie Light and wanted to connect.
I have been researching the descendants of my Simril family ancestors and believe we may have a very distant connection. Lewis Costley Bryant who was married to Irene Howard. Lewis Bryant's mother was Sallie Simril and that Simril Line has been my main focus. I read the obits and wondered if you knew them personally. It appears that they did not have any children and just wanted to confirm for my records. I appreciate any help you may offer on this line.

We were happy to transfer these two memorials to you. The most important thing is for those family's that are searching for their loved ones,is to find not only the location but as much information as we all can provide.
Keep up the good work. I will be back to see the new additions to these. Take care, dee

|Gary Syling||Delila Noggle Syling|
It's been a while. I just found Find a Grave and saw that you have Delila as being buried in Slippery Rock Church Cemetery. I have a book that lists her as being buried with Conrad in the Harmony Baptist Church Cemetery. Maybe these are the same, I don't know.
I would love to get photos of her's and Conrad's headstones.
Hope all is well.

Since there is no office staff to ask, I just drove around the cemetery (which is in deplorable condition) and found the family plot.
I also added pics to Alma and Mary Lynn. There were others in the plot and I created their memorials - Oma (Mother), Ralph and Corinne. If you wanted these three transferred to you just send me a SAC.

Always a pleasure to help out. And especially when they are all marked sites! I was surprised how busy the cemetery was on Labor Day.

You are welcome! Abner's stone was pretty well covered. Thank goodness for the veteran's flag to give me an indication where to look!

You are very welcome! It's coming along slowly but surely...I don't think there are 177 interments in this cemetery though I could be wrong. There are alot of missing stones. Take care!

|Jerry Barnard||Transfer request|
Did you ever resolve this issue:
Frances Fleming Wright
You refused my 96 year old mother's request for transfer of management of her grandfather's sister's memorial, saying that you didn't understand her need to own a memorial and telling her that she should go out and add memorials as you had done. She was not asking to "own" any of your 14,000 plus memorials, but simply asking for the ability to be able to work on her aunt's a little at a time, as she does her other seven memorials, turning them into substantive quality memorials to her loved ones. You could have made that possible and shared the credit with her by letting her manage it. There was no need for your rudeness, Mr. Van Herrin. We can all make contributions in our own ways to Find a Grave and when we do, we deserve a little credit for our efforts.

|Marcha Beane||Florida State Hospital Cemetery|
On Sunday, March 21, 2010, I went to the hospital to take pics of the sites requested for the cemetery. I learned that the cemetery is behind locked gates and not open to the public. I spoke to a security guard who told me that due to HIPPA they cannot confirm who is or is not buried there. The guard said that if families, for whatever reason, did not claim the body of the deceased, it became the property of the State Hospital, and no one has access to the grave. When I asked about taking photos of headstones, he told me there are no headstones to photograph. So sorry! He said the cemetery is maintained (grass mowed) but there are NO HEADSTONES. - Sincerely, Marcha Beane

Thank you so very much for obtaining the pictures of Lyle Chapline's grave and headstone in Jacksonville. "Cousin Lyle" was my grandmother's first cousin and I know very little about him - your photos will provide me with additional dates to continue my search on Ancestry and elsewhere.
