Hello! No, there is no relation for me to this couple, so I'm glad you asked for the transfer! I didn't make the edits you asked for, because I thought you would want to do them in the fashion you would want.

I don't have the obituary myself, but my friend, Edie, does. You can contact her at:
Larry & Edie Doepel (#46583214)
and please use the year she died and the last name, Simmons. (Not sure why)

Donnita, as embarrassing as this is, I just came across a very old e-mail from you requesting the obituary for this lady. Did you ever get it?

|Susan Lundin Smith||Clifford Swanson photo request|
You are receiving this message because you have submitted a photo request for the above named person(s). I wanted to let you know that I will be traveling to that area from Dallas during the first week of June and I would be able to get the requested photo(s) for you. I do need some help from you tho. While I am in the Chicago area, I intend to get as many names off the list for Evergreen Cemetery as possible. The list is growing every day and is now at 263 requests! Evergreen Cemetery is near and dear to my heart as I have several of my own family members there. If you would please call the cemetery office and obtain the burial plot locations and send them to me, I will for sure get them for you when I go there in June. If everyone could get me the locations I could really get a lot of requests done but I can't do it alone! The office number for Evergreen Cemetery is 708-422-9051. You can leave me a public message with the information, or you may email me at email@example.com Please be sure to reference the requested names. Thank you!

Hi Donnita -
I recently went searching for Mel's grave and marker at Greenlawn. I spoke to the Sexton at the cemetery and he said that to his knowledge, Mel's ashes haven't been scattered or buried at Greenlawn.
Her husband Bill is still living and his father is buried in the Memory Gardens section of the cemetery. I don't think there is a marker up for her yet.
Do you know if all the info I received is true?
Let me know - Jim

Me again! Digging a little deeper, I see I was partly able to answer my own question. Would you be able to transfer James Bennett (136139563) to me? My member number is 47312451.

|imbeanie||Ketchums at Protestant Cemetery|
Thanks SO MUCH for the photos! Frederick D Ketchum is one of my favorite ancestors, and information on him seems only to come in bits and pieces, so this was a special treat! (Especially since earlier in the year, another volunteer reported that there was no marker!)
As for George C Ketchum, someone else had posted apicture of his military tombstone, but it is nice to see his name below his father's on the obelisk.
I am not surprised you did not find Amelia (Mclaurin) Ketchum's headstone. She died in Indiana, while living with her daughter and son-in-law. They are both buried there, and I expect she may have been. Her obituary mentioned she was to be buried with her husband, the only reference to a burial place, which is why I put her memorial at that cemetery. She may be buried in Indiana.
I am not surprised you found the Ketchums with the Bennett plot; one of Frederick's daughters married James Bennett, whose family ran the Bennett Hotel on the island.
Finally, did you happen to get pictures of the other sides of the marker?

You have requested a photo from Evergreen Cemetery. If you contact the cemetery for the grave location I will look for the headstone in the next 2 weeks. Almost everyone there answering the phone is willing to help over the phone. If they tell you that you would need to come in to get a map anyway, let them know you have someone locally who has the maps. I have the maps of the cemetery so this could be easy. Their number is 708-422-9051. You can message me and I can try to get out there in the next 2-3 weeks.
