|Mark & Liz Clayton||Mary Nelson Ray|
Thanks for the update. I first recorded this monument because my husband has Nelson family in Shelby County. Progenitor, Elisha Nelson moved out to Arkansas after Shelby, Alabama. I did not realize her husband's name was Wiley but that is a prominent name in that group of Nelsons. It appears that this Wiley A.J. Nelson was born in Georgia but he married in Shelby, Alabama so I feel certain he is connected to these Nelsons. I am glad to update any additional information you find or transfer her to you since it is in your direct line. :D

I noticed you have some Horton memorials of my 2nd great grandfathers siblings. I was curious as to your connection to this lineage of Horton as I did not see this last name mentioned in your bio. My great grandfather is Elmer Horton - 2nd great grandfather is Marshall Horton - 3rd great grandfather is William M. Horton.
I look forward to learning more about your connection.

|Wendy Gardner||John W Nelson and Lena Nelson|
Just stumbled on this picture of my great uncle Hobby's grave which coincidentally I just visited for the first time a few days ago. My grandmother was Hob's sister Lillian Esther Nelson Hannaford, grandfather was Horace Hannaford. All the Hannafords that came from Melbourne Australia to the US were members of the House of David in Benton Harbor Michigan. I've just been there doing family history stuff and met with my second cousin Pat Nelson Wenzlaff, Hobby's daughter who I hadn't seen in over 50 years. I would love to speak with you, I will send you my cell via your email address.I live in Utah but will be at my mom's house in Florida until next Wednesday July 23rd, 2014. Mom is Hobby's niece June Lillian Hannaford, only child of Lillian and Horace. I also visited the graves of Joe,their sister Ucal (who is interred very close to Hobbie and Margaret)great grandma Lena, great grandpa John William and great great grandma Sarah. I just joined but when I figure it out, I will post photos of their resting places as well. Aunt Ucal is with Hob and Margaret at Riverview, everyone else is at Crystal Springs in BH. So happy to find this,is Eunice the one they called Lacy? Pat just gave me a BUNCH of pictures of her, she was very pretty

I have been working on the descendants of Joseph and Barbara Steelman, adding links, etc., and the Nelson branch is in the BEST shape of any of the families I've seen. I'm adding a few birth places and death places, but you've done a GREAT job.
