Re: Nannie E. Horton
Bailey,

I was only suggesting additional information be added to Nannie E. Horton Memorial. I don't know a thing about maintaining the page. Of course, I am willing to learn if you or someone will tell me what is involved in maintaining it but honestly, I would prefer leaving the maintenance of the page as it was.

Many thanks for adding her memorial to the site.

Nancy

Lester Letson
RE: Mary M Parsons
I could not find my source so I changed birth county to Jefferson, the info I found just said Alabama, no county included so I don't know where I got the info on county. I connect through husband W E Parsons' brother John Ed Parsons who married Permelia Ann Letson. Death info for Mary M Parsons shows father Ervin and mother Julia, can'
t find any other info on them.

Wonderkin
J. Mack Parsons
I am trying to use software to enhance and read the gravestone of J. Mack Parsons that you posted on find-a-grave. However the area of the birth and death years are blurry and more difficult to enhance. Do you have another photo of this stone that may be a little clearer. I have deciphered the birth date as what appears to be January 3, 1890 the death date appears to be December 3, 18?2. Can you help with this? I am determined to get the dates from this stone even if I have to travel there from Nevada to do a rubbing! You can reach me offline at familyhistorysurfer@gmail.com
Thank you.

Linking Families
Frazier Family Conecuh County
You are receiving several correction requests from me for the John Frazier family.

The corrections do not change any family links.

Some of your memorials have been merged, and therefore they are no longer linked to John Frazier.

I hope my requests will help list all of his children on his page.

J Rice
Pierce family
Hello!

I noticed on a listing for William Britt Pierce that you had indicated in a message that he was a brother to you g-g-grandfather, Wesley Pierce. I have been searching my Pierce ancestors in AL for a while now but have not had much luck finding information beyond by g-g-grandfather JJ Pierce. I did finally find a newspaper article from 1911 indicating that he was visited by his brother Britt Pierce. I was hoping you would be able to let me know if you have any information confirming that William Britt Pierce is one in the same with Britt Pierce which would also link your Wesley with my JJ (James Jackson) Pierce.

Thanks!

James Rice

Infant Parsons
Bailey,
Hoping if you can help me. I am looking for a sister who would have died very young between 1943 - 1946. She was the infant daughter of Walter Hugh Parsons and Frances Louise Verdier Parsons.
Many thanks if you could shed some light on whether she is buried in Alabama.
Thanks,
Leigh

Hi, I see I mistyped, I meant William M. Lewis. In either case he is not related. I arrived at poor young William by way of family married blank who married bland :) And thank you for the updates you just made for Raymond Walter Lewis. I did put in two photo requests for Lewis" in Bethlehem if you are ever down that way. Thanks and best regards, Jan

RE: Old Hepzibah
Thanks Bailey. It is a work in progress at Old Hepzibah. I uncovered a few more graves that weren't listed on findagrave. I have added them. There are so many that are marked with just a flat stone. I wish I had the original transcript to add everyone here. Thanks for your kind words. It is sad to see it in such shape. I don't have any family in the cemetery. I just adopted it because it needs it so bad.

Missouri Bailey's sister
Sorry to bother you but I think that Missouri Bailey's sister is my Great Grandmother and I was wondering if you would have any information on her? She was born Mary Etta Foster and in the 1900 census she had a son named in the census as Chase McDaniel. I believe to be Charles McDaniel AKA "Charles McDaniel Marks" My Grandfather. If you can help me in any way it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks you for your time. Ken Marks House Springs Missouri

Bailey Remley
Salter family
Is this Salter family related to the Salter's who lived in the Burnt Corn area around Conecuh and Monroe County? The family names in the Burnt Corn area are Carlyle Salter and Otha Salter.

Thanks so much...I usually don't change my listing until the person I wrote to changes theirs out of courtesy. Because of your kindness, I have changed mine. Isn't it nice to be able to link all these families?

Samuel Parsons
I am looking for information on the Samuel Parsons who is buried at Prudes Creek Cemetery in Tuscaloosa County, Alabama (Memorial # 51966536 created by you). Is he the husband of Una McCrow Parsons? Do you know who his father is?

Thank you

Reuben Y. Robertson's gravestone
Bailey,

I was looking at your photo and transcription of Reuben Y. Robertson's grave (43591014). I googled one of the phrases and came up with the song "Weep not for me." I've altered it a little to fit what's on the stone:

"Weep not for me."

Why should I lament the
christian dying?
Why should I indulge in such
tears or gloom?
[Calmly on the Lord relying,
He can greet the op'ning tomb.

What if death, with icy fingers,
All the fount of life congeals?
'Tis not there thy brother lingers,
'Tis not death his spirit feels.

Tho' for him thy soul is mourning,
Tho' with grief thy heart is riv'n;
While his flesh to dust is turning,
All his soul is fill'd with heav''n.

Scenes seraphic, high and glorious,
Now forbid his longer stay;
See him rise o'er death victorious,
Angels beckon him away.]

Hark! the golden harps are ringing,
Sounds celestial fill his ear;
Millions now in heaven singing,
Greet his joyful entrance there.

It's kind of beautiful I think. My father died recently - I found it comforting to come across this. Thank you.

And the last part - Rev. 14:13
Blessed are the dead which die in the Lord.
