Greyhounds on Find A Grave
I think its pretty amazing a greyhound can work Find A Grave memorials. I know the typing can be a bit slow, since they have such slender long paws. One day, they will have voice command
typing for canines, and then we will really know what's on their minds.....

Hi Laura,

Not the result we were hoping for, so I try to make the best of it!

Best regards,

Ralph Sprague
Yes, Laura, I will keep him on my list and take a photo of the site next time I am at Mount Calvary.

RE: Mathews
I went back today with the sun at a different angle and figured out what happened. I did find an in-ground marker for Lawrence. The larger markers inscription is Bridget, Beloved Wife of Lawrence so that's where I got it. I'll place the photo for Lawrence

RE: Mathews
Hi Laura

Lawrence is on the photo I posted. The top name is Bridget, below her is Lawrence, and below him is Patrick. The other sides don't have any names on it. I know the marker writing is hard to read but it wouldn't be right for me to try and clean. I'll try another photo but I took several from different angles

Jeremiah Daly
Hi, Laura,
I saw your question on Jeremiah Daly. I just wanted to make sure that you know that Calvary Cemetery was formerly called St. John's cemetery. That's why the older obituaries say St. John's. Was that what you were asking about?

RE: Dennis Daly
Hi, Laura,
So nice to hear from you!
Thank you VERY much for adding the biography for Dennis-- I really appreciate it, particularly in light of your injured wrist!
I'm glad to hear that you got settled in (and reunited with your dogs--- yay!), but very sorry to hear about your injury. Pain definitely takes away from quality of life. :-(
I am hoping that the healing goes more quickly and easily, and wishing you many blessings in your new home.

Jeremiah Daly

There are two Jeremiah Daly's buried in the same family plot at Calvary Cemetery in Rochester, MN.

The first Jeremiah has birth/death dates of 1866-1929.
The second Jeremiah A. Daly has birth/death dates of 1891-1963.

Neither of these match the birth/death dates of the Jeremiah Daly you are looking for.

I will go ahead and post all of the pictures of the Daly family members who are buried in section 10 at Calvary cemetery. I'm not sure if its the Jeremiah you are looking for but I'll post the pictures anyway.

RE: Eugene Cronin

There is no writing on the stone for Eugene. I would not have found the stone at all except that the groundskeepers were mowing and trimming at the cemetery so I asked them. They have a book with all the burials and helped me find the stone.

If you look at the picture of the stone for Ellen Daly Cronin(the tall monument with the cross on the top of it. It is posted on her findagrave memorial) you can see the stone for Eugene. It is the farthest stone on the left.

If you would like, I could go back to Calvary and take a picture of the Cronin monument and post that on Eugene's page as well. Please let me know if you would want that done.

Yes, we did get a photo of the plot. I'll get that loaded into her memorial today. You'll see 2 stones on both sides of the photo. Her plot will be between them.

We're still working on Velma. We've located the area her plot is in, there's a possibility her grave is unmarked. We'll let you know.

RE: Cooper
I have so many family members that are buried too far away for me to visit. I appreciate the aid others have given to me.
I am more than happy to pay this forward!
Thank you for the kind words!

RE: Schoonover
Hi Laura, I didn't do a very good job cleaning up Evelyn Schoonover's stone as I didn't realize from the request for Marcella Schoonover Malone on my Find A Grave printount that they were one in the same!! Would you be willing to submit another photo request for her, and that will trigger me to take care of it next time I am up that way? It's 160 miles from my home, but I appear to be one of very few who fulfill photo requests for this cemetery.

Miland Edward Schoonover
Hi Laura, I checked for a marker yesterday for 'Edward Schoonover' in the Maple Hill Cemetery Hibbing, MN. The cemetery has him listed as 'Edward Schoonover' buried in Plot 2-352-4. There is no marker for him. I did find a marker for an Evelyn and an Edson b1865-d1928 Schoonover. Evelyn's stone reads Mother Evelyn Schoonover. I didn't record her dates unfortunately, but I have photos of both of those stones if you would like.

RE: Kraft's
Next time I get to Austin I am planning to try for a better photo. The sun was so reflective that day, then my batteries died! But for now, there it is.
Merry Christmas. God Bless You.
