|Robert Yorks||Amasa Hutchinson Leonard|
This is the Amasa Leonard to whom I was referring. I am reprinting the 1872 edition of "Annals of Binghamton", and in the 1872 'Appendix/ it is mentioned that "Amasa died in his 69th year" I just want to be able to use his gravestone image, in my edition, to establish, with certainty, both his birth and death years, and that the 1872 version should have read "Amasa died in his 79th year."
I already have Joanne Sholes permission to use her photo. I just wanted to let you know what I was planning on doing.

Yes, I think that the safest thing is to mark the cemetery as unknown.

I am wondering if you have a record for Paul Luke Chandler that shows he was definitely buried at Godings Bay Cemetery, St.Peter, Barbados.
I am a great-great-granddaughter of Paul Luke who died in St. Peter Parish on March 31, 1901. I believe that he MAY have been buried at Godings but have not been able to verify that. I spoke with the St. Peter Parish rector in 2014, and he told me that he had no burial records for Godings Cemetery.

|Robert Yorks||Amasa Leonard Mem. # 21712946|
I am writing to ask your permission to use the Memorial to Amasa Leonard in a re-publishing of an 1840/1872 book titled "The Annals of Binghamton". When the second edition was published, in 1872, it was stated that Amasa "died in his 69th year", which is an error that I am going to correct, but I would like to include the memorial and the photo of Amasa's headstone to back up the correction. Thank you.

I'm not usually that quick - but I am currently photographing that Old Jewish section, and wasn't even aware it fulfilled a photo request until after I had posted it.

|Jim Glidewell||Fred Wolf|
I just uploaded a picture for Fred Wolf. This is a ground memorial so there is no other side. Also, since this is a National Cemetery it is very unlikely that his mother would be buried there with him. Now, if he was married then the two of them would likely be buried together.

Hi, I see you put up a photo of Viola Bailey Stack buried in Sacramento. Her husband, Maurice Stack, was a 1st cousin of my g-grandfather.
Are you related to the Stacks?

|Brenda Johnson||John Garner|
I put a picture of a blank spot for John Garner at Draby Cemetery. I've been over that whole cemetery twice and there is no tombstone for him. It probably got destroyed either by weather or trees. If you prefer, I can take off the picture but someone else might try to find and won't succeed. Unless someone makes a new tombstone.

|David Smith ||Isabelle DeSilva|
You sent me a request to make DeSilva her maiden name and add Corner as a married name.
She was married to a 3rd cousin named Stephen B Smith III.
My understanding is that she had an earlier marriage and that DeSilva was the name of her previous husband.
She's listed as Isabelle Smith in the cemetery records.
Where is the name Corner coming from?

|Karen Turner||Sameul Pelton Seekonk, photo request|
I have lived in Seekonk for the past 20 years. The Seekonk cemetery is small enough that my husband and I scoured every grave stone in a single afternoon. We did not find Samuel Pelton anywhere, there aren't any headstones that old. I double checked with Jan Parker, who has been the town clerk for as long as I can remember. She said the Seekonk cemetery was established in 1889, so there is no way he's buried there. Seekonk's topology has changed several times, used to be part of rehoboth, which included most of Bristol county, plus Rumford, RI. Plenty of ancient headstones across the reservoir in Newman Cemetery, plus there are 52+ old cemeteries in Rehoboth. I found a RI grave website: http://www.rihistoriccemeteries.org/Default.aspx but he's not there either. You could also check with the town of Rehoboth to see if they have him .. (508) 252-6502 x3110.

My name is Jody and I'm a descendant of Benjamin Shields. While working on my tree, I found conflicting information on the Nathan Veatch Shields. Your memorial for Joseph Shields Find A Grave Memorial# 69834280 lists Nathan Veatch Shields as the son of Joseph. I've found other info that lists NVS as son of Benjamin Shields (brother of Joseph). Do you have a reference you can point me to as info source? Any help you can provide would be most appreciated. Thanks so very much for your contributions to Find a Grave!
