RE: Cynthianna Taylor KNIGHT
Hi, going through my old find a grave messages and don't know if I answered you or not. The relationship would be on my husband's side, Charles Knight. Your and his common ancestor would be James Knight Sr. married to Margaret Prigmore. James Knight Jr and John C. Knight were brothers. Have never been able to find our where John C. Knight was buried, or his wife Hannah Hutchinson. So many grave yards were paved over, moved, let go neglected, the headstones fell or rotted away, whatever. But you do have a relation in my husband, very distant cousins. You can contact us at deathvalleychuck@frontiernet.net. Take care, Dorothy Knight

Hi Carolyn:
I have not been able to find the exact Steele/Steel memorials you are referring to. Please give me the names of memorial numbers so I can match the name to the tombstone. Thanks for your help.

I don't know Clarence Wayne Pigg, the person who posted the picture on Beverly Pigg's memorial. Perhaps you can leave a message for him on his profile page.

Steel/Steele
I ususally try to match the name of the person with the spelling on the headstone so I will change it to match. My grandmother's side of the family were Steele's from Morning Sun, Iowa. As I researched the line, I could not trace it back very far but I have noticed that the US Census has both spellings for the same person. It is very confusing.

I am sorry but I do not have any further information at this time. I research this cemetery but I will keep eyes open. I did come across a McIlvaine / McIlwaine family plot and added photos. The lot only has two stones and rest are unmarked.

Fairhaven
Hi I live by Fairhaven Memorial and went to go take photos of some of the requested markers. Turns out Fairhaven will not give non-family members the location information. If you get the info and add it in Find a Grave, I will be happy to go and take pics.

Warm Regards, Barbara

Family
Hello Carolyn, I believe we may be related through Isaac George Hanks. He is my GGGG grandfather on my fathers side. I have been doing as much genealogy research as I can and found a few messages on this site by you. I was hoping you would be willing to share any photos or family history you may have come across. Thank you for your time and I look forward to hearing from you.

RE: Re Alvin L Lorentz middle name addition
This info came from the 'United States Social Security Death Index'.

I am not related to the Lorentz family. I was looking from the Krueger side of the family. My connection to them is very thin.

RE: Helen LOVITT Knox and Harold KNOX
I just happened to be in the cemetery decorating my great, great grandparents' graves and decided to see if there were requests for the cemetery! Fortunately, the Knox stone was very visible. My good turn for you also benefited me in that I found the graves of my grandfather's first cousin and his wife while looking for your request!

Reed Davis - Warren Cemetery
I'm sure there is no marker for him. Several surveys have been done of this cemetery. It was called Liberty Cemetery at the time Reed Davis died. The name was changed to Warren in 1939. I live only a few blocks from this cemetery and have photographed all markers I could find. It is located in a neighborhood and there have been several vandalism incidents. There is a Warren Cemetery Association and plots are still being sold, but I can't find my information on it right now. Reed Davis has been listed in every survey with no grave location.

contacted someone associated with the Zion Cemetery, most didn't pretain to you r inquiry so i removed it, but this is what they wrote me -

Subject: RE: Zion Church Cemetery question

Dee, I donít have a master list of people buried at Zion in Urbana, but I have some old files I can look in. I can tell you, however, that Alexander Beall was not buried at Zion, if he died in 1744, because the cemetery wasnít established until after the church was founded around 1804. I donít know of any Bealls in the Zion cemetery. But there was a Beall homestead in the vicinity of Urbana (before the town was established and named around 1830) and there was a small cemetery there. Burials there would have been in the late 18th- and early-19th century, so probably not Alexander. Hereís the info on the Beall home, from the Frederick County historical register:

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The other name to check on is Carolyn (Carrie) Lorentz? If I come across a burial list, Iíll look for that name.

There are two other small cemeteries in Urbana, and sometimes there are confused in records. One is St. Ignatius Catholic Church, and the other is Urbana Methodist Church. Zion was the Episcopal Church, and it went inactive after a fire in the early 1960s.

Hope this is helpful. --- Knight Kiplinger

got it, i recall exactly now! that was a small and very old cemetery. it wasn't linked to an active church, but there was a sign with a phone number. I can easily go by it again later this week!

RE: Carrie Olivia Lorentz
i didn't. It was a Sunday afternoon and the churches were all closed at that time.

I went to several cemeteries that day and only was successful at one getting several requests, so I apologize that I can't recall which one you refer to. As they were all close to me, I can possibly go back to the cemetery's office and talk to someone.

Just refresh my memory which one you were looking for.

Dee

I wish I did have some photos, but I don't. That is really too bad your photo was lost to age :-( Would it be you, or your husband whom I am related to? This is my dads family so I have a cemetery list of his relations and ancestors on my page.

Andrew married Ann Mullen and had daughter Elmira Markley. She married John Franklin Lovitt and they had Estella Mae Lovitt. Estella married Job Arthur Burns and they had Lillian Louise Burns, who married Leroy Benjamin Woods and they were the parents of Naomi. Right?

Whooo! Well, my 3rd great grandfather was Jefferson Markley. My great great grandfather was Taylor William Markley. Taylor was brother to your Andrew Jackson Markley.

I have seen your name on Ancestry, I believe. My tree there is God Planned Our Lives. Taylor married Ruth Jane Triggs and their daughter Hattie was my great grandmother. Hattie married Harry C Gilbert and their son Ernest was my grandpa. Ernest married Ruth Van Sickle and their son is my dad.
