Liberty Nixon Diary
Hi Lucy - I was browsing through some digital files on the Alabama Virtual Library and saw that Auburn University had a diary of your ancestor (for 1861-1862) digitized. It is in shreds, but it is digitized to read.

6th Great Grandfather - Casper Branner
According to the research I've done so far, Casper Branner is also my 6th Great Grandfather. I wonder if you may have any family history information for him? Anything you know would be extremely helpful! Thanks!

No, not related. I just saw those new grave markers at New Prospect while looking for someone else. I can transfer the memorials to you if you like. There are several Smith graves at New Prospect Cemetery. I go there often. Anyone in particular you are looking for?.....Craig Burton

Pictures on your mother's page
I have written to the person who added the marker pictures. She has them on the wrong page. I asked her ro remove them, then add them to the correct page. Hope this resolves the problem. Judy

RE: Liberty I Nixon
Okay....I think that I understand...

In that case, the parental link on Liberty Nixon is incorrect.

Also, the both picture the same headstone.

Did James Monroe Nixon also have the names of Liberty Independence?

I am not on yet, but will be soon.

Elliot Nixon was my 3rd Great Grand Uncle. The last Nixon in my line was Nancy Catherine Nixon New. She was my Great-Great Grandmother.

Thanks, I hope to hear back from you.

RE: My GGgrandparents
I was glad to be able to take the photos. I have many relatives in Cedar Hill Cemetery. Even though I live in Huntsville, I spend almost every weekend in Scottsboro. I usually make it to at least one cemetery around the area every weekend !!! Let me know if you have any other photos you would like for me to take.
