|April Ilene Price-Hunter-Judy||George Loudermilk|
My name is April Price Judy, My 4th Great Grandfather is Zachariah Price, who married Mary Loudermilk. I have been trying to figure out which one of the George Washington Loudermilk's are her correct father. I have a copy of what looks like her application for Widows Pension. It didn't list any dates only His name as George Washington Laudermilk and her name. This informtion led me to think I had been wrong in which family he had come from. I found the other find a grave index and realise that she may be incorrect also. She lists Charity dying in 1826. Today I found yours and feel after all these years of seaching I may have stubbled onto a little bit of truth. First, I would like to thank-you and secondly is their child Mary the one who married Zachariah Price. My e-mail is firstname.lastname@example.org. I would love to hear from you. April

I am trying to find the father of Margaret Loudermilk, and believe it to be George ?? Loudermilk. My great grandmother was Icy M. Sanders who married Frank Owens and was the daughter of Margaret. Since I have found both records (yours and Teresa's)and do not find any Margaret listed was wondering if you knew any additional children's names. George Washington Loudermilk (29566618) lists lots of children none of which is Margaret. However both list Charity P. Irons. Any clarification would be GREATLY appreciated.

Whitley Co Ky is a bit far from my central Ohio base, but will keep it in mind if I get down that way. Lost my last close Ky relatives last year.

It is very, very possible. That was one of the most over-grown, ill-kept cemeteries I've been in! My sister and I found and photographed that cemetery. I drug her with me cause I was terrified I'd be snake bit and die before help could come. (No cell phone signal up there, either) If you click on the bottom picture on the main cemetery page, you'll get a bigger view...those few stones are the BEST ones we could find. The weeds were taller than me and that is no kidding.
And snakey. Ick
So "yes" is the answer to your question. It is very possible there are many headstones I couldn't find in all that mess.

Oh gosh that's entirely possible.
My sister and I found that cemetery and took those pictures...I would never ever have gone there by myself. The weeds were taller than we are...the headstones we did manage to find were (ahem, pardon my french) hell to photograph. That was one of the snaky-est, overgrown, weedy, horrible cemeteries I've ever been to. The bottom picture on the main cemetery page? Click it to get a bigger view. Those graves there were the BEST ones we found.
This is no cleanly mowed, fenced in, pretty neighborhood cemetery. This one has gone back to wild...1968 is the newest burial I could find, and the day we were there I would have bet my last dollar that was the last year anybody had set foot there.
Now to be fair, that was in 2009. It's been what, 5 years since then? Maybe somebody has gone behind me and cleaned that poor plot of land up. That's always a possibility, & I sure hope that's the case. Were you thinking of visiting there? (Take a big stick to scare off the snakes!!) LOL

|Roger Moore||RE: Orbie Susie|
I am interested in the Loudermilks, as they are related to my Aunt Orbie, sisters, brothers, parents, nieces and nephews.
However, before I ask any questions, I need to do my research on Ancestory.com. That will reduce the amount of questions I have for you.
Are you a member of Ancestory.com. If you are, my user name is moore007154.
Thank you for your help so far and your reply, I will have further contacts with you.

|Roger Moore||Orbie Susie "Stewart" Loudermilk|
Dear Sir, I respectively request that you link my Aunt Orbie Find A Grave #84512668 to her mother Rebecca Corley Find A Grave #111797663 and her father Winfield Stewart Find A Grave #17246242.
Rebecca and Stewart were the parents of my maternal grandmother Georgia Stewart, who lived in Bakersfield, California for many years, and with my mother (her daughter)the final years of her life.
As a young child, I remember at least two visits from Aunt Orbie to my grandmother and have many pictures of her. My grandma and Aunt Orbie had one other full sister, Clara James "Stewart" Gieck, from Colorado Springs, CO. I spent a weekend with her in Colorado Springs in 1971.
I really hope you have knowledge of Orbie and the rest of her family, I have had little luck as yet. I am an active member of Ancestory.com and my username is moore00754. If you are a member you should be able to find me.
