|Lisa C||Thank you.|
I wasn't sure if I had thanked you for the photo of the area where my great-grandmother, Gertrude Elizabeth Morsbach Kolb, is buried (along with her mother. I'm sorry, if I haven't. You are an angel for taking the photo. Thank you. xxx

|Wendy Armstrong||RE: Egbert Post's mother|
Hi Kristen -
Thank you for verifying that info for me. It's been a while since I've been in touch with Leslie (2002). Do you have any more information on Mary Brown? She is our common ancestor..guess that does make us cousins somehow! :) I'm trying to find what happened to her children with her first husband, John Weaver. And if John Weaver's father is indeed the same William Weaver who donated the land for the Oak Ridge Presbyterian Church. Not much information can be found on the Weavers. I have found two distinct Weaver family lines on both sides of RT 23, which runs right through Newfoundland, but just can't tie them together!
Thanks again for any information you have, and please keep in touch!

|Wendy Armstrong||Parents of Egbert Post?|
Would you know who Egbert's parents are? I have a family story from Leslie Post that says that his mother was Mary Brown who was a widow of John Weaver. One of Egbert's step brothers would then be John J. Weaver (1811-1873) who is my direct ancestor, and he is buried at St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church in Echo Lake (with his wife Mary Marion). I also understand that Egbert's wife is Ellen Marion, Mary's sister.
Thanks so much for any information you can share!

The Littles were in the same cemetery so I fulfilled your request, John's and another that were outstanding for the cemetery. Interesting that the church no longer exists. The building is there but it has been converted into a pet grooming business.
I can probably get Annie Cahill for you soon. It's only a few miles from my house.
There is a local newspaper here, Suburban Trends, and they have a reporter who has been writing a column on the early families in the area. I pretty sure he had a column on the Posts. It sounds familiar.
Actually I just googled his name and a few column's popped up that mentioned the Post family

No problem at all. There was only about an inch of snow on the ground.

I finally located the headstone for Sarah and John T. Brooks - only after finding a listing of inscriptions that had the name Sara O'Neil, wife of John T. Brooks. As you can see the headstone can no longer be read. I included the inscription from the listing. I posted the same pic/inscription on both entries.

Thank you for taking the time to look. That must be the problem then that they were too worn. I do have the cemetery record of them having bought the plot but they seem then to not be readable anymore.
I do appreciate your looking.
If you ever come across any Bown or Baines they are of interest to me.
This is all very interesting, I have found so much in the last year, my dad is amazed. So much is on the internet and in google books etc. I am sure if I were in Pittsburgh I could find even more in the libraries, all it takes is time!

Thank you for getting the photo I requested. It is an interesting situation! Is there even a stone there? Again, I do appreciate that you have gotten the picture for me.
