Supposedly, it transfered over to you--it buffered and buffered for over a half hour the first time I tried; re-did five times. Please let me know one way or another. Thanks.

The dates match up with the one you created a number of years after the memorial I created:

You will not be able to contact me; I no longer have the originating email address; and my name is no longer Stienstra. I created a new account back in 2009 under my new name because I was unable to get the Stienstra to change over. I contacted Find A Grave to no avail. They deleted my new account after drawing my attention to it--after I had placed in many new memorials.

Van Kleeck
Good morning.
I am going through May 2004 files of Wallkill cemetery and double checking every photo and entry before deleting.
I came across the single VAN KLEECK you had placed. I was always told to put the memorials in as indicated on THE TOMBSTONE.
Originally, I had put in VAN KLEECK exactly as you had.
BUT, in 2005, I received an email from FIND-A-GRAVE that I had to change ALL my memorials to pushed together names: i.e.: VanKleeck. I spend hours, days changing everuthing over. I did NOT do that on the VAN KLEECK original stone. I decided today to indicate what I expressed to you. It is mind-boggling for sure for people looking for these parties and not finding them all because of how it has been entered.
I don't know if you wish to change your memorial or not, as it is lost and not with mine. Just thought I would give you a "heads up" since I saw your lone entry under the main headstone.

Hiram Schoonmaker
If by GM you mean grave marker, I would say it is correct. The last 2 engraved lines on the bottom of the stone read Hiram W. Schoonmaker 1858 -1928. Very clearly legible when you view the enlarged photo. Of course you may mean something entirely different by GM. If so, please tell me what GM is standing for and I will investigate further. Thanks.

RE: Schoonmaker
Hi Lyle, I go camping down the street from this cemetery once a year in July. I tried to take as many pictures as I could of the stones that were legible so I am sorry if I didn't post the one for her husband. I will go through the pics again to see if I have anything else. If I decided to stop by the retreat center up there prior to July I will definitely drop by there again to see what I can find.

Egbert Alsdorf
This message is about Egbert Alsdorf buried in Modena Rural Cemetery, Memorial number 10435010 I think I found the obituary on Egbert, Here is a copy and you can let me know if you think this is he. Thank you Sharon Ostrander

Rochester Demorcratic Chronicle

FEB. 9, 1899

Newark; N. J., Feb. 8.—Egbert Alsdorf
died suddenly last night at his home here.
He was about 70 years of age. Mr. Alsdorf
was well known as a bicycle manufacturer.
He was born in New Hurley,
Ulster county, N. Y., and taught school
at Newburg in that state for a number
of years. Later he engaged In the boatlag
business at Highland, N. Y., and subsequently
ran a brick works in Pateraon.
The last thirty-two years of his life were
spent in this city.

(I just realized that the obituary said 70 years old, which if it was this Egbert, he would have been 21 instead of 70) Perhaps a Son?

Charles and Rose Crosby
Hi, I noticed that you made a memorial for the Crosby's listed above in the cemetery in Marlboro NY. I wasn't sure if they are relatives of your but I recently was there and found a stone over the bank of a woman named Charlotte Crosby. So I thought she may be someone your looking for as well. I plan to go back next weekend maybe I will find the stones of Charles and Rose over the bank as well.
Have a great night,

RE: Daniel
Hi Lyle, I called Oneota today. The lady there said there is nothing on the card about the marker. I don't no why but they don't put it on the military cards. She said the snow is still two feet deep and I won't be able to check yet. Have you talked to the VA lately? Did you say it is a flat marker? My email is Kathy

RE: Daniel Koegan
I will try to get up there soon. There is a lot of snow here so it being flat I don't think I am going to see it. I will probably need a little reminder from you in the spring. The cemetery is only five miles or so from me. The military is at the very top of it. My uncle is near Daniel's spot also. Kathy

RE: Daniel Koegan
I kind of remember now, There is snow here now so do you no if the marker is on the ground or upright? If it is flat there is no way to find it until spring. If it is upright I will go take a look again. Kathy

Hi Lyle, You will have to refresh my memory. I haven't been here for awhile. Not sure who you are talking about. What is the persons name that I told had no marker. Kathy

Re: Final resting place of James Irwin
Hi Lyle,
Thank you so much for the research you have done. I am from Stamford, Connecticut, and it looks like we share Hornbeck relatives. You mentioned that your 7th great-grandfather had a farm in Bedford, NY. Perhaps it's possible that he could have been interred on the farm. Having made so many trips in and around those roads, I know there are so many small cemeteries. I doubt all are accounted for. What other information might you have about this ancestor?

Added by Marjorie on Jan 10, 2014 9:44 PM

I think Tina is no longer active - -you could ask the admin ( to transfer the memorial to you -- it may take a while.

RE: Hanora and Patrick Cleary
So happy to help - especially someone who was a friend of Fred! He and Ruth were quite the couple, and I miss them a lot. They're buried out in Krumville and I make it out there a couple of times a year to visit.

I'm headed over to Fantinekill, Pine Hill, and/or Grahamsville cemeteries today and tomorrow, so I'll keep an eye out for your other requests. You and I have a lot of relatives buried in the same neighborhoods :).

Hanora and Patrick Cleary
Hi Lyle,

I was just listing the photo requests for Fantinekill Cemetery in Ellenville and saw your listing for Hanora and Patrick. Interestingly, I was in the Old Ellenville (Leurenkill) Cemetery this afternoon and I'd taken a picture of the marker. They are actually interred there, not in Fantinekill.

I'm fairly new to findagrave, so I'm not sure if I should upload the pictures to the listing you currently have, or if you want to edit their listing and move them to Old Ellenville, and then I will add the picture? There are multiple other Clearys in that lot.

Please let me know and I'm happy to help. BTW, I notice you're originally from Napanoch - you probably know my mom and her family, the Weeks's. The lived next to Peter's Market.

Kind regards,
