RE: boardmans
i am finding that it is not unusual for grave sites that are old to not have markers .as far as my family and my late wife's family , maybe 1 has a marker in the family plot .

Neumann (Newman) Photo Request
Hi.

First, did you know that you have duplicate memorials for this marker? One, the one you made the photo request on, is Find A Grave Memorial # 26094571. The other is Find A Grave Memorial # 26094579. You should probably delete the one you didn't request the photos on.

I got the best shot of the markings on the photo that I could get. If you zoom in you can clearly read the name "Pauline." Below that is the German abbr. "Geb." (born) 24 May 1886. And, below that is the German abbr. "Gest." (died) 18 August 1902.

I'm sure of those dates as I traced the letters and numbers with my finger.

The problem I had was that the engraving is in a German alphabetic script. The top line is eroded in the middle. I tried tracing it and rubbing away the moss, but I just couldn't read it. But I'm sure it said Pauline and I'm sure of the rest of it. The base definitely was "Neumann." There were a couple of other markers in front of this one with the names "Newman" on them. I believe all of them have photos on the memorials.

I hope this helps. Sorry I couldn't read the top line.

Most burials in this plot do not have an individual marker, just the Family marker.

Hi Ashley-I filled your request for Bruno Blusiewicz. He is buried next to his wife, Catherine Blusiewicz (1902-1952). I took a picture of her headstone too so if you create a memorial page for her let me know and I'll post it...Mary

RE: Resurrection Photo Requests
No problem. All my grandparents, great-grandparents and then some are buried here. This place is well over a mile in length. Most people think it's smaller since only a tiny portion of the memorials are actually listed on Find A Grave. :)

RE: Klust
Not related, just mowed the rows at Sunset so those who did not know where an ancestor was buried, would now be able to find them. Feel free to request transfer via the memorials even if you are 4th cousin twice removed. It's ok. Really.
Take Care,
Jaci

St Adalbert Cemetery-Kilians in Term Graves
Hi again Ashley-Aniela Kilian and Frank Kilian are buried in unmarked graves in Term Grave Sections. A term grave was essentially leased by the family for 20 years and if at the end of the 20 years the grave was not purchased outright the grave would have been resold and reused. The original burial would have been deep and any subsequent burial above. The Archdiocese no longer has term graves and has converted most term sections into regular sections. When they were converted they were renumbered and renamed so it is not possible to determine the exact location of original graves. I have put a caption on the section overview photos for Aniela and Frank explaining that they are unmarked and identifying the current section name...Mary

I could not locate a headstone for Mr. Gately. I photographed the area where the grave his. Unfortunately, you can not see other headstones in the area because we have had a lot of rain for the past month and the ground has been too wet for mowing, so the grass is hiding the headstones in the area. If you do not want this photo let me know and I will delete it.

I deleted the Jane Ball memorial & added Jeanette Westra and added info in the photo caption.
I did find her marriage to Simon Westra. Sue Starr has submitted a name change to it so we'll have to wait and see what she changed. I see Jane's maiden name was Mieras.

I thought she might have remarried but didn't find a marriage for her but Wilhelmina Ball daughter of Cornelius has a record being married to Guy McDonald.

I did post the photo for Jane.

Hello! I was curious if you were related to Phillip and Barbara Killian buried in Saint Joseph Cemetery in Lafayette, In. in Tippecanoe County? If so, then we are distantly related!

that's alright. I made my youngest daughter mad with me and the world...her name is Mari-Collene and goes by Mari. At 16 she came back for the DMV at 16 getting her license all in a huff!

"I tired of being a Catholic sister" - she proclaimed. "what," I asked. Then she explained that she keeps having to say "Mari-Collene, none, Cowles". LOL NUN get it?

And it really sent her into tears in the second grade when her teacher asked her to spell her name out loud..." Captial M A R I hyphen capital C O L L E N E" then the teacher wanted to spell "hyphen" of all things!!

Well this is a first. I've ran into duplicates many, many times, but you ladies had out done most! LOL

You put O'Beck and Cindy put Obeck and the whole string went in twice. Cindy is no longer doing F.A.G. so I guess it'll be on your shoulders.

If you can get F.A.G. to merge them into one, it'd be great. Cindy's photo are brighter (better) if you could get them saved.

I have checked marriage record and census, and all seem to NOT have the ' in them (Obeck) not even an upper case B. If you're sure that's the way Lillian George and hubby spelt it - go for it.

Sometimes I have ran into this problem, and I treat it this way...make 2 enteries...one says O'Beck see Obeck and the other says Obeck see O'Beck.

I have family links to do for Lillian, but don't know where to put them. I've been tracking the George family.
