RE: Richmond National Cemetery ~
No worries Rich, we are all here for the same reason, to remember them all. Eaton Gay was someone i ran across doing other research and put the memorial in and was waiting for a photo to see if any other information was on the stone, which obviously thee is not much else. I got the information i do have from "U.S. Veterans Gravesites" on ancestry .com Its posted that info on the memorial for what its worth. If your so inclined, id be happy to transfer Eaton over to you and you can do the rest of the legwork, i'm already in about 50 deep im working on!

But as they Lucy Family cemetery has photos I have deleted from Warfield Cemetery. Thank you so much for letting me know.

Since the stone has H. Pierce then I will assume that he wasn't a Price. Thank you for your help.

RE: Linwood Cemetery ~ Colonel Holland
Hi, Rich – I hope you’re well. I must apologize for not having responded sooner. I have started a new job – I am now Stage Manager for the RiverCenter for the Performing Arts here in Columbus – so I have been working a monstrous number of hours. As you have already discovered, I did get the grave marker for Col. HOLLAND set. We had a bit of a scare, as the first time I had planned to set it, I went to retrieve it on a Saturday morning from the Sexton’s office and it wasn’t there! I feared the rest of the weekend that it had been stolen and we would have to file a police report (the monuments remain the property of the federal government in perpetuity), but it turned out that staff had moved it to remote storage for safekeeping and I had not been notified. Also, I had planned to place it all the way in the southwest corner of the lot, but there are a couple of field stones there that may or may not indicate a grave, so I did not want to disturb them. One other thing: I have an application prepared for a headstone for Judge Wm. F. WILLIAMS – all I lack is authorization from a relative. I never did hear back from the lady you referred me to, Barbara SMITH. Do you happen to know of anyone else who may be able to do it? By the way, if anyone you are related or connected to in any way has a kinship, no matter how distant or indirect, to Judge WILLIAMS, you could authorize the application. Here is an example from one application that I was able to authorize myself and was accepted: “My ggg-grandmother Mary (PARKER) MILLER (1838-1906) had two sisters, Addie PARKER (1845-1901) and Fannie PARKER (1851-1920), who married HAMER brothers who had a niece, Annie Lois GOINS (1898-1973). This niece married Bradley Raymond BOLAND (1894-1987), who was first cousin, twice removed to the candidate veteran, Francis M. BOLAND (1830-1900), Bradley being the grandson of Francis’ first cousin, John Wesley BOLAND (1824-1906).” All statements made in the application must be truthful, but so far as has been my experience, they don’t care how remote a kinship is. Best regards - John

You are welcome for the pictures. I did take a few more, but was not sure which memorials to add them to. I have one of all four graves, one of Elberta and Richard's graves, and one of Richard and Jamie's graves. If you would like for me to add those, then let me know which memorials and I will add them. Thanks!

RE: Elmwood Cemetery ~ Plosser
I may be able to get by Elmwood on Sunday, and I'll make an effort to get your requests done then. I'll be sure to get some long shots; I always photograph anyone close by who even might be a relative, so I'll upload everyone in the general area.

I've actually got block maps of the whole cemetery, so I can find the exact spot someone is buried before heading out - see this page -

Speeds up searching a lot! The Elmwood staff are very helpful.

No need to create requests if I find someone of yours while doing this for you, I'm happy to help, without needing the additional work on your part.

RE: Saint Michael's Cemetery ~ Patuzzi
I added a new photo of Josephine's stone it says "Josephine Wife". Also added a photo John Baptista. There is definitely no stone. Many unmarked graves in this section. His plot is 9 plot in from the road and i made the assumption there are 4 lots per plot so aprox 36 stones or lots in from the road i took the photo. I counted twice. It's between Roberto Santiago and Eva St Germain.

Your very welcome, I'm glad I noticed your request on taking the picture without cropping it. I thank you, by seeing that I will try to check for those types of comments better in the future.

No, I'm not related to ~
~ the Provosts buried in Enon Cemetery, Bullock County, Alabama, but was just passing on info that I'd found regarding the wives of William Franklin Provost (1821-1895) - Just my way of paying forward for all the help I'd received over the past decades of seeking help on my own family history research.

RE: Double Churches Cemetery ~ Sturkie
Good Evening Rich,

I deleted the extra pictures that I had posted on these two photo requests for the Sturkie's as you asked. Just to let you know there were several other Sturkie's in that area of the cemetery. If you need me to search for any others please let me know.

Thank you,
Sandy Guthrey

RE: Linwood Cemetery ~ Judge Williams
Hi, Rich - I hope you're well. As you may be aware, because Wm. F. WILLIAMS' grave is unmarked and he saw service in the CSA, he is eligible to receive a grave marker from the Veterans Administration. I am preparing an application for one, but since I'm not related, I need authorization from someone who has a family connection to him. As you had requested a grave photo, I wondered if you might be kin or know of someone who is and might be willing to authorize me to apply. You probably know that the VA doesn't care how distant or indirect the family connection is and does not require documentation of it but merely a statement as to the relationship. I have successfully applied for and placed about 30 such monuments in the local area over the last few years, and I have everything I need to apply for this one except the family authorization. You can reply by messaging here on FindAGrave or by emailing me at newsompage[AT]yahoo[DOT]com. Thanks - John

Hi Rich,
You are very welcome. Have you had a chance to look at Margaret Lord's site? I revisited her site and took another photo. Hopefully this shot shows what you needed to see. Pat

Hi, I got your edit deleting Beverly's father - just wondering what your source is? I didn't add the father, it was another edit, and I don't know the family and just want to get it right! Thx. Barb

I am so glad to have found him for you - I guess some of our relatives like to play hide and seek.

I can transfer management to you if you'd like, just let me know.
