Arnett FAG Memorial# 37996418
I was wondering where you got the info about Elizabeth Arnett's marriage to Valentine Sevier? I have that information in my Ancestry tree, but I have no marriage proof.

If you know someone who knows something about her Arnett family tree, that would be fantastic!

Your welcome. Yes, and I think maybe there may have been one or two with the middle name of Reuben.

RE: Edward P. Richards family
My hope in adding information I found to be accurate to any Find A Grave memorial, that someone who is out there hunting will benefit and be able to fill in their family tree with this information. Having grown up at the knees of my mother who has been known around the US teaching research techniques and helping people do their research since the early 1960s through her hundreds of books and publications - so naturally I grew up learning to do research and spend my days when I don't have to earn a living, doing research on my many FTM databases covering my different families and all those who intermarried with them too. I will strive to keep sharing with those who want to know what I find to be helpful. :)

Robert Marion Curry
Do you know the story of why Robert Marion Curry was executed at Fort Scott Kansas winter 1864. I did find the Fort Scott KS site, showing he was exhumed and reburied in the Union side after 1900.
I'm related from the Jobe's of Vernon Co MO who were neighbors of Elizabeth Curry. Another connection Ruben & Susan Eales Jobe, her sister Davidella Eales married Silas Curry in Vernon Co. I never could find out who he was or what happened to him aft 1883, his name was on a marriage license as a witness for Ellen Jobe, said a relative.

Haines Chase Richards & family
Hello -- love your Richards information. Haines Chase Richards and his family are mostly buried at Mt. Hope in Urbana, Il. My grandfather John Amon Richards is buried at Grandview. Do you have any idea about Joseph G. Richards, who was a civil war soldier who died in 1863 on a hospital boat in Louisana? I have looked and looked for any records about him. He was Haines' older brother. thanks.

RE: Reuben Dennis
(It appears you are family, too. If you are interested I can send the names of books with history)(But I do want to mention that:)

John Dennis was born 1748 in Charles County, Maryland(not in Ireland). The son of Ignatius Tennison and Elizabeth Nevitt. His first wife died 1796 after 7 children. John then married again but she died about 1795 childless. He then married Elizabeth Cheatwood. The couple had 5 children of which Reuben is the second born.

(My ancestor is Reuben's sister, Harriet, who married Joseph J. Knox. Their son John Dennis Knox traveled from Overton County through Illinois and Missouri to Arkansas by 1880. I suspect they may have come by Morgan County but so far no proof.)

Luthie Jane Sullivan Richards
Hi there.

Find a grave post by following a lead on

I married into the family of Evelyn Belle LeGrand-Saler through her son Steven Jerome Saler. Evelyn's parents were Lewis LeGrand and Adeline Collins. Lewis LeGrand's parents were Robert McCray LeGrand and Margaret "Maggie" Richards. Margaret's parents were Newton Richards and Lutheria Jane Sullivan.

This makes Newton Richards and Lutheria Sullivan my children's 3rd Great Grandmother.

I just wanted to write because your post says that he was married to Luthie then got divorced or she died then married Jane.

Jane was Luthie's middle name and many of the documents and information I have found indicate that sometimes they just called her by her middle name. This is the same person.

So this solves your problem. :)

Just wanted to let you know what I appreciate you having this find a grave on here, because you have a lot of other lineage information I did not have that I will be able to use.

How are you related? This would be great to know.

THANKS ~Phyllis

Re: Rebecca Davis (m. to Lemuel Allis/Ellis - son of Samuel Allis/Ellis)
Looking for a solid connection for Rebecca/Rebecka Davis Allis/Ellis 9ST8-248 ( to her supposed parents, Isaac Davis LDZ5-5BZ & Charity Hall LZVR-J2G (of Lee, Berkshire, Mass), and sibling, Reuben Davis LZVC-QXX (m. to Mary Polly Abbott) who trace back to Thomas Rogers of the Mayflower. Reuben Davis was born 13 Mar 1764 in Tyringham, Berkshire, Massachusetts & died in 1810 in Pompey, Onondaga, New York. The will for Isaac Davis (b. 9 January 1720 Tyringham, Tyringham, Berkshire, Massachusetts and d. 5 January 1780 Lee, Berkshire, Massachusetts) names wife, Charity, & children Rebecka and Reuben, along with other siblings (John, Sarah, Mary, Soloman/Solomon, Nathan, Charity, & Isaac), but does not mention any of their married names, spouses, or grandchildren. Also, Truman Leonard Jr mentions Lemuel Allis/Ellis family and his parents, Truman Leonard Sr & Roxanna Allis/Ellis in his journals with visits and other family history he found (accessed thru BYU Perry Collections). Reuben Davis names his last born, Lemuel Allis/Ellis, as found in his will. My Mother is also a Wing, which eventually ties into this line thru marriage. Thank you for all of those who have done research on our family lines/graves! Jackie Coleman (Lemuel Allis, son of Lemuel Allis & Rebecca Davis) (Roxanna Allis & Truman Leonard are the children of Rebecca & Lemuel, & parents of my Truman Leonard, Jr) (Truman Leonard Jr, grandson of Lemuel Allis & Rebecca Davis)

Amanda Davis Braffet, daughter of Reuben Davis & Mary Abbott (Reuben is brother to the Rebecca Iím searching for who married Lemuel Allis)

Abel Owen, husband to Elizabeth Abbott Davis, daughter of Reuben Davis & Mary Abbott (Reuben is brother to the Rebecca Iím searching for who married Lemuel Allis)

Lemuel Allisís father, Samuel Allis (married to Hannah Sheldon). This information Iím searching for is for Lemuelís wife, Rebecca Davis to her parents.

I wanted to thank you for sending me the family records on the Richards. My grandmothers side on mom side of the house. My daughter printed it all out for me and send it too me. Wow what a lot of work and a lot about our family I did not know about. Like we always wondered why Grandpa Richards named their son's after George Washington and B.Franklin. Now I see why. I heard they did change their names after they got older tho. I found a picture of one of their son'. I would not know how to get it to you tho. I think it was the oldest. Thank you for your kindness in sending the records of our family to us. Lenora

RE: Connection
Yes ,I am interested in the story you have written about the Richards family. My e mail address is or I live at 1163 East 22nd ST. Marysville CA 95901. Poor Effie Mae. she tried to get in contact with her family while they lived in AZ. She found out one of her family members worked in the Post Office there, she went to see them, but they would not see her, they said because of what her mother had done. She did cry, as she herself did nothing to be a outcast because of her mother. She wanted so much to be apart of her mothers family, as she always told the rest of the family, they were all good people and she was proud to of be a Richards. I only wish she were here now to be able to meet some of her people while she was alive. But for sure she is in Heaven with our Lord and Savor Jesus Christ, as she also taught all her children about our Jesus. And I do believe they are all up there with her. plus a lot of her family from here. Yes, Please do send me the book you have written and thank you for thinking of me. Lenora collier
