Charles D. Vincent
Hi Patty,

I am interested in the information you posted about Charles D. Vincent born 1793 in Switzerland and died in Kankakee, Kankakee, Illinois in 1876. My great-great grandmother was Mary Ann Vincent, born 17 Oct 1821 probably in Ohio and died 21 Feb 1854 in Mifflin Twp., Franklin, Ohio. She is buried at Riverside Cemetery. She married Silas Park on 25 Apr 1842 in Delaware county, Ohio. I don't know who her parents were but I recently found a Charles Vincent in the 1840 Kingston, Delaware, Ohio census and the 1850 Blendon, Franklin, Ohio census. In the 1840 census there was a 19 year old female living in the household (Mary Ann would have been 19 in 1840) and I am wondering if Charles could possibly be her father. You listed several children, do you know if they are all of the children he and Louisa had?

Mary Ann Vincent Park had the following children:
Hellen Luann Park
Julia V. Park
Zenas Park
Jacob D. Park
Isaac Vincent Park
Mary A. Park
Susan L. Park
Arthur Chesner Park.

I noticed that several of her children's names match those of Charles and Louisa's.

I look forward to hearing from you,
Ronna Dumas

Beverly - Ohio
Snodgrass in Frame Cemetery
Hi Patti! You asked me to write to you.
(3) Cemetery photos are entered & waiting for approval from Find-a-Grave. This cemetery needs some TLC. I hope family members come to it's aid.

I don't remember an (Elizabeth Campbell) or James Snodgrass, (neither are listed). I did find one grave and entered him - Silas.
Your photo request - I carefully dug around Benjamin Snodgrass' headstone. It was barely visible under mud.
I have one broken maker, I believe reads Snodgrass at the base in row 7, which is out of sequence & unreadable. (Philip?)

17 left to go - these markers are in ruins and I only have the row # to go by. Much more research is needed.
Hope you enjoy the photographs and my work. I have notes behind many of the photos.

Beverly - Ohio
Frame Cemetery - a Very old Cemetery
My relatives, the LANIERs are there and I drove two states to see them. Add any photo requests you want. I have already entered some of the Snodgrass family. It is difficult as most of the stones are hard to read. My husband and I are using Photoshop to enhance the text and I will use the Row # to help place the stones with their names. I certainly plan to send in several pictures of the cemetery, as the cemetery is difficult to find.
It was a very rewarding day.

Ted Crayne
Margaret Collison
I am the family historian for the descendants of Samuel Moore. One of these descendants is Margaret Collison b. August 15, 1914, Holt County, MO; d. November 26, 1967, Alameda, CA), daughter of Ralph Waldo Collison and Katherine Summers. I know Margaret moved to California and I know her married name was Massey, but I do not know her husband's name. For continuity and accuracy, I was wondering if you knew that information?

Grave Digger
RE: Mt Olivet, Wm Murray
You are welcome.
I posted photos for all of the family in that plot....I found them all listed on findagrave however you were not the original person to list them..I notice you maintain this one. You may want to do the same on the others as I see that the previous person either no longer is a member or something is odd because you cannot leave messages for them.Any how all family members could be linked together. They are as follows;
Daniel Francis Foley d Arpil 15,1947, Walter E. Foley died Jan 25, 1920, Mary Sullivan - wife of Michael Foley died Dec 9 1929, Albert C. Picard husband of Margaret F. Foley died June 17, 1930, Michael Foley died May 18, 1906, Lilian Foley (sister) died July 2, 1959, Margaret F. Foley wife of Albert C. Picard died July 11, 1960. This is quite an impressive plot. And I am curious now about the family and what the insignia on each grave marker means. Any idea?

Hi Patty,
Sorry, been busy lately and havent had the time to email you back. I've driven by the Stedman lot every day since I started working at the cemetery. It is very large. One large stone in the middle, maybe 3.5 feet high by 4 feet long, with small markers around it with the names. The following people are buried there:
George Herbert Stedman 1846-1903
Gratia Burt Holt, wife of George 1847-1911
James Herbert Stedman, 1877-1950
Helen Mosher Stedman, wife of James 1901-1986
Martha Welborn, Infant daughter of James/Helen, no date
Frank Holt Stedman 1874-1945
Marian Murray Stedman, wife of Frank 1883-1962
Ella Faustina Stedman 1851-1903
Vernal Stedman 1814-1880
Elvira Stedman 1832?-1890

The monuments of the last two people are of the white, limestone (I think) type and the letters are almost all worn away. There is one other small stone which nothing on it can be read. I took some pictures of both the large stone and the individual monuments and will upload them as soon as I can.
