|Ann Tierno||James Varnum|
I want to let you know that I was at Hill Cemetery and could not locate your Varnum. I contacted the superintendent for cemeteries and he indicated that there are currently no records for James Varnum at this cemetery. Are you sure he is buried at Hill? I will be looking at other cemeteries in the area and will keep my eyes open if I see his grave anywhere.

I have tried to fulfill your photo request. Unfortunately the only markers that I could find with the name Varnum are Josiah and Lucy Rowe. I have uploaded photos. In comparison to the rest of the plots in the cemetery, there is a large area adjacent to these markers left open (no marked graves). Perhaps they had a large family plot and the other graves were not marked, the other graves once had markers which deteriorated over time and are lost, or their family members were buried elsewhere.

Could you call Holy Sepulchre Cemetery and get the exact location of the grave (Section, lot and grave)? If I know where to go, I can get the photo for your request.

We have photographed the two graves and also thier daughter joanna but I need to figure out how to compress them it says the file is too large. They are not in Village cemetary they are in Hill cemetary.We searched Village all day and then finally got a hold of the town hall guy and he looked it up for us.there is also another Obedom with them that passed in 1776.We photoed the whole plot.I will have to get help to upload.

|Vonda Coffman||Rose Hill Burial Park ALLEN|
Rose Hill has over 1700 interments and I have searched every section for your relative. There are other ALLENs at Rose Hill but not Thomas. If you contact the office and find the correct section and find out whether or not he has a marker, I will be glad to re-visit to take photographs.

I'll put this request on my list. I'll see if I can get over there next week. I was thinking of going to Newark on Tuesday anyway. I'll see if I can't see what I can do about taking this one, and any others you might post.
Because I am on the other side of the state, I won't receive an email with your request.
I have added you as a F-A-G friend.
