RE: Flint Cemetery - Lee County

Pam, I don't quite understand your request. The two referenced F.A.G. memorial numbers are in Hank Rogers' name, not mine. I can not delete these.

RE: Old Sharon (or Sharon) Church

Pam, is that Sharon Primitive Baptist you are referring to? If so one of the last clerks before the church disbanded was Grady Hall of East Tallassee. After his death I don't know what happened to the church records. He and his wife Ms. Velma used to visit over in Chambers County and they had a grandson my age. Unfortunately I've lost all contact with the family.

RE: Don - Thank you

Pam, I now seem to recall getting a link request for this woman a week or two weeks ago. However the link seemed to be an error and was linking her with her with Jarrell parents; it definitely wasn't with Hunter parents. As I had just gotten the Hunter maiden name request I knew something wasn't exactly jiving. Anyway, she is linked now and I apologize for any confusion or miscommunication on my part.

This is the first request I've received to link Mary Chafin with the Hunter parents. The link is now made.

Sure. You might note that I added several Satterwhites in the process. I had a little trouble finding it and kept stumbling into other Satterwhites.

Pam, you are very welcome. I enjoy going out to cemeteries and finding these headstones for people. It's hard to take a photo in a cemetery where the headstones are upright, without getting other stones with it, but I hope this will help you. I will be going back to that cemetery in a few days, and will see if maybe I can get a better picture for you.

Wright Jones and Wright Cox,etc.
Hi Pam,nice to hear from you. No photos have come to hand. Sorry. In 2014, we placed special markers for all the civil war veterans, including those who did not come home. If I had a way to do it, I would very much like to put similar CSA markers for Uncle Wright Jones and his brother-in-law Wright Pridgen Cox down there in Shelby County.

Have you seen the markers on FindAGrave that we placed in Mt. Nebo Cemetery for your Grpa Wright's comrades in arms? Also have you seen on Find A Grave the memorials we set at Mt. Nebo for Jacob Powell's family graveyard?

Let me know what you think?
